Everyday Inspiration- Jason

You never know when you may be someone's inspiration. I was talking with a young man named Mark a few weeks ago who told me a story. When he was in high school there was this kid named Jason. Jason wasn't popular, wasn't particularly good looking, wasn't from a wealthy family, but he was kind: Good hearted.
Mark didn't know Jason very well, but would always be kind to him. Since Jason's family had little money, Mark would often buy Jason lunch, though he didn't have a lot either. He brought in hand me downs for Jason and would invite him out when kids were getting together. These simple gestures were just second nature to Mark. Be kind to others. It's not a task it's a way of life.
A couple years after high school, Jason died in a tragic ice fishing accident. Mark just happened to be home from college at the time and decided to go to the funeral to pay his respects. When he arrived, he was immediately greeted by Jason's mother.
"You're Mark right? Please you must come sit up front with us, you were Jason's best friend."
Mark had no idea and was shocked and learned a valuable lesson. You never know when basic kindness can make a monumental difference in some else's life.
Never forget that each moment of your day is an opportunity to make someone else's better.

Take care friends.
