True love

My wife Anna is the most beautiful woman ever created. I am proud to call her my wife. She is perfectly unique, and is all mine. Through hard times, I had taken her love for granted. Her smile, laugh, eyes, body, heart are perfect.  I could list so much more. I learned very quickly how I lost part of myself through illness and hurt her in my selfish process. When I think of her; she is irreplaceable. I could never hold or love another. Anna gives me strength and purpose. She gives me life. My life will be spent loving her perfectly. I must say she is a miracle. She loves me and all my flaws. I love everything about her. She has so much talent and beauty. She is pure joy. I can't put into words how special she is to me. I can tell everyone, that I am blessed to be given such an angel. I will cherish our love and being by each other's side for the next 60 years and beyond. This love lasts an eternity. I promise her I will always be her superman. I don't know if she ever realized she is my superwoman. She does now. I have to proclaim my love for her in this public forum. I will continue to speak of how amazing She is. However; she will always know this first. I've made many a mistake, but never again. If there is only one reason to be a better man; it's her. My Anna, my Angel, my best friend, my forever. I love you Andy! I will remind you everyday of how wonderful you are. She is mine and just mine. When you have an Angel like my Anna, You cherish every moment. If you ever get lost, find your way back. I speak the truth; that her pure love did that for me. Anna, you are so special. Everything about you is pure beauty. I am so in love with you, and never again will I forget. Singing me to sleep is heaven. Every day Is beautiful, just because of you. You are my lady, my perfect. Did I mention her beautiful body and hair and lips. You get it. Oh and she smells like love. She speaks to me in a voice so sweet, I almost cry. I do blush however. My life, my heart is yours forever. When you find love like this, it's what makes everything possible. I love you Andy. Your Joshua. I will never do anything but cherish and love you forever.

About my Joshua part 2

This anecdote came to my mind while I was trying to figure out what aspect of my husband I wanted to share today.

A few months into our relationship (Joshua had already proposed and of course I said yes) my cousin called me. This was streamed for a few reasons: first, my family almost never called me, and second we were going to be attending her wedding the following weekend so I was going to be seeing her shortly.
My cousin is about 15 years older than I. I was 20 at the time that I met my husband, but still never would have thought she'd turn yup me for advice. It wasn't as though we had ever even been close. I don't mean to sound cold or heartless; I simply want to convey just how out of the blue and frankly blind sided I was by her call much less it's purpose.
She asked me how I was doing. I told her great, I'm young, I'm in love (assuming that our gossiping family had already phone treed my first relationship) and I'm happy. What about you? You must be so excited, I said.
She said to me I am, but...
I said what's wrong?
She said, I love him. You know I love him, but I keep worrying, is he the one? Is he the Only one out there for me? What If 5 years down the road I met someone better?
At this point I feel awful for her fiance. He was a great guy. They had been together for 8 years at this point. I was comforting. I was kind to her. I made jokes that I'm so blessed because Joshua has none of the stereotypical make habits like leaving the toilet seat up. And I agreed to lend him to train her future husband good bathroom etiquette. But I wad confused. Of course I was a child then. Still feel as though I am most days.
I told you that to tell you this. No matter what we have been through, from the moment I met husband I have never doubted that he was it, the one, the best and only man out there for me.
I am truly blessed because I found my soul mate so young. And there could never be anyone that could be more perfect for me. I know that with no doubt, the pinky thing I've never had doubt about because no one is better than he. And I mean that as this. No one has a more intoxicating voice. A more generous spirit than my Joshua. No one can make me laugh and cry, wipe away my tears and fill my heart with safety and peace like he can. He makes me human. And opens up emotions and thoughts in me that I would never have had without him. He is all I want and need. If we had no money, no home, no anything as long as we were in it together, I would have joy and peace.

I hope, wish and pray that each and every one of you find your Joshua; because it is a blessing that we may not all deserve, but certainly all need.

About my Joshua part 1

Over the next few weeks I would like to post a few things about My husband. This man would be the one person on the planet I could honestly say I admire even if my admiration weren't biased by the amazement that he would choose me to share his life with.
Whenever I see My husband I'm reminded of the first moment I saw him. He was sitting alone at a table inn a bar we both went to for karaoke. My gaze kept going to him because, while he was smiling, his eyes showed a deep knowledge that I couldn't figure out what it meant. It drew me in and I had to find out.
The first time I heard him sing; I felt as though all music I had heard before was now dead to me because nothing could compare to the power, the spine chilling rasp, the lyrical flow of the sounds coming from his mouth. It was the most beautiful voice that I have ever heard. A voice that makes you believe in angels, because they have to exist to be listening to this magnificence.  A voice that makes you fall in love.

The greatest stories ever told

You may be wondering what has happened to all of our stories. Well during the last year half our team has been busy crossing the country to film each of the stories that were submitted to us by you for our documentary The Greatest Stories Ever Told to be featured on HBO coming soon. The other half have been working with each story submitted to get it in publishing shape for the book. We found ourselves initially understaffed for the overwhelming out pour of truly heart wrenching and triumphant inspiring stories. We are grateful and truly touched by all those who chose us to be their voice.
We are working hard to truly do everyone justice and our GSET team is ever vigilant. And during this time my husband has been on the phone, attending meetings and doing everything he can to make this dream of ours as successful as possible; for us, and for those whose stories we share to whom the proceeds will up towards to help.
One of the main conditions that has been negotiated is to not release the stories prior to release of the documentary; limiting is to the few who chose not to participate in this aspect of our project. Those few we have long since shared.
For those who follow our blog regularly, thank you for your patience and loyalty to what, I'm sure, seems a long time coming. It certainly is to us as well. My husband and I are grateful for your support and our team at GSET thank you for continuously checking back to see the progress. We thank you for your emails and donations which have helped keep the project going.

Without all of you; there is no GSET because most important part of The Greatest Stories Ever Told is you.

Take care friends

#Purpose How do we know?

Purpose! How do we know? Some people are born knowing their purpose, some people find their way into it. Many people believe they know their purpose, however, they find out later what they believed was was not really it at all. Some people succeed early on. Others become an overnight success after 20 years. Some people are known for their purpose and others make it known. Some are recognized world wide. But many never receive any recognition. So many people are lost trying to find their way into a purpose. The purpose is never lost within them. Unless discernment is withheld within themselves. Many times life itself redirects your purpose when you feel that you should be where anyone else is as opposed to that your purpose was interfered with by another.
Creation. A perfect design. We see others who live what seems to be a flawless life and hold no grace. We judge others who seem to be living an imperfect reckless life. But all the time intertwining a purpose-filled life. It is desirable to be recognized and validated. As fame is not evil; nor is money. But the love of this. As the Lord said to Abraham that ' you will be famous amongst all the nations.' As the Lord also said to David ' you will have vast blessings of worldly riches.' And of course as Jesus spoke the words, ' it is the love of money that is the root of all evil.' There are many things that alter our life's path that seem to postpone our purpose, but simply delay the succeeding and recognition of it. So many issues in life that redirect and branch off our purpose to succeed alongside someone, before someone and most importantly after someone who has a related quite similar purpose. The latter of these three is when we must find joy for those who have a successful revealed purpose before yours comes to fruition. Yet you are always serving it. It is very difficult on this day and age to know you have been gifted and blessed in a specific field, craft, career and through suffering and struggles have seen others who are not truly serving the Lord's purpose, but their own becomes successful, creating doubt and confusion of why give the gift and blessings that can not be fulfilled for certain individuals. Never the less the one strength of belief that you are still fulfilling God's purpose for yourself and for others must not be forgotten. But we do need others to motivate and validate, not success, but hope with an individual to encourage through love. And though the grandioso outcome of a worldwide successful career can be a wonderful feeling, simply asking how someone is doing, giving a nod, a smile, can do more for another's life than we ever could possibly know or imagine. In today's world, daily, we advertise ourselves. In the 80's I remember that a band that became commercially successful was considered a sell out. However now, if you are commercially successful, you are followed, liked  and revered amongst all others. And it is commonly stated that you did it all on your own. People name dropping, wanting shout outs , begging a follow back from a now famous person is the new absolute. But this purpose does not reach absolution. It's often stated in social media a person can be whomever they want to. Of course this is true; but sometimes, just sometimes, a person is being who they believe they should be. When you look at yourself in the mirror, do you truly believe you are living God's purpose for yourself? There are so many gifted individuals. Some exploit and take advantage of their gifts, a slap in the face to those who are gifted and blessed who have been wrongly imprisoned, been on the receiving end of horrible brutality, who have lived a lifetime of horrible illness, yet they never complain or feel pity. They never differ blame, they still believe, some have even lost their gifts for a short period of time or truly were never able to fulfill their purpose because they lost their lives, but the question remains of the fact did they serve their purpose? You can have 70 million people follow you on instagram and not change one person's life for the better. A purpose is not a reflection of oneself, how you use it is a respectful reflection of God. I am now 41 years old. Many know my sufferings, but I speak not in detail about them. Most of the time it is too painful. But it is not another's burden to behold. We expect and we demand with ill temperament using anger to reprimand. So again I ask what is purpose? Blessed are those who have the discernment to know what their purpose is. But we must think and feel and seek this out. We must help others to seek this out. It is not our purpose to understand another person's way. It is our purpose to respect. But we must not stand by and allow others to be wicked. We must not be right fighters, but righteous fighters. In reference to our presidential race, a God given purpose can not be held in contempt. We can not disrespect and degrade and/or demonize another to succeed and then speak as if this is God's purpose for oneself. I have often stated our words and our actions are only as good as the heart behind them. We are all sinners. As the Lord sayeth your sins will find you out. A true purpose allows you to recognize this. To carry love in our heart. As all of us are given a purpose, we should be living with one love. One heart. And one purpose. To serve the Lord's collective purpose for all. Without doubt there is no reason for faith. Without question you can not find the answer. And without the Lord, you can serve no purpose but that what you believe is for yourself. A purpose driven life is a fulfilled life. Those who have a greater voice than others. To set an example by serving their purpose righteously. Who must not take for granted as I've always said many are suffering, but very few empathize. Meaning to suffer along with. Your purpose is for you and you alone to know. But it is got you to share to value the life that was given to each and everyone of us and the life that was sacrificed to give us this opportunity. You can not fulfill your purpose alone. As alone, we did nothing to receive the gifts and blessings to fulfill a purpose. But it is our job and duty and of course responsibility to fulfill our purpose by coming together with in our struggles as without these we could not understand as the Lord sayeth I will suffer you as you will learn more through your sufferings . When we understand that we will never reach perfection, that is when we will finally be perfect.  In simple talk; purpose is no joke. It is not a game. It is a living, breathing life. The more we know about each other, the easier it is to fulfill our purpose. We complicate human beings. As human beings complicated themselves. We understand the purpose of a tree, of water, of air. This was not always the case. Within ourselves and reach other to understand what I call a purpose driven heart. So there question is. What is purpose? I reiterate what is  your purpose. Just as a tree, water and air, a true purpose does not take life, but gives it. Do not hold yourself or others in bondage as nothing happens out of God's will. Realizing that purpose is not a chance realization, but a chosen revelation. And as my health, as my suffering is quite prevalent, specifically right now this is my purpose that I was led to fulfill as of this moment. Use the tools that have been given to you. To be righteous and absolute in your purpose. Take care my friends

To Pic or Not To Pic

First, let me start by saying hello. It has been quite some time since I have posted. The reason for my absence is for many different reasons.
Today I had a discussion with a long time friend. I jokingly state that if you mention a famous person's name in association with yourself, more than one time, it is not name dropping. But I believe on blogger this would be the first time so I will not mention his name.
So back to the discussion: Having a discussion with (lets call him) George who is an actor. It was about social media, partially about the taking of pictures, more so about posting them constantly on social media. George is quite a few years older than I and since he stays away from social media, I've decided to share more of my side of the conversation. Though he did not discourage me mentioning him. Per my own personal beliefs, I believe it would be disrespectful to speak of his personal point of view while he remains a very private man. So here we go.
I want to start by stating that fame is easy. Infamy is easier. Both are fleeting and contrary to popular belief there are people who want nothing to do with fame. Or don't care one way or another.
I was one of those people. To be honest I was both of those types of people. Until I reached the age of 34; fame had no importance or even a thought in my mind. Through much illness, I had really seen how the world was changing while I laid stagnant in poor health.
I then realized exactly what I could do with such a title. And to be an example for those who already have this mass forum of fame or infamy. Then I became very ill again and that all went to hell. That is for now.
But fame comes from exposure. And exposure, as of now, comes from the documentation of our every movement and thought; as people wait for someone to say they are worthy to be one of the famous.
Now that is quite a set up for what I am about to share.
There are many pictures and videos of me that have been taken or recorded throughout most of my life. Though only about 1% are in my possession. My two ways of life: I was or have been too busy living it and/or surviving it. I found it more interesting to document through photography and video acts of nature or other peoples lives.
Most of my earlier pictures and videos came from other people through my excelling in athletics. I have done something that no one else on the planet, that I know of, has ever accomplished. I was a first team all American athlete in four sports. In the sports of basketball and football; I was an all American on offense and defense, condemning this post, the other two sports are not relevant to name as I am here to make a point, not to brag. In basketball and football, I had been featured on ESPN many times. Though I went on to play collegiate football for the university of Michigan where I was all American defense and a national champion.
My passion and true love was the game of basketball. Why I chose football, over basketball, having equal opportunity to be a collegiate and professional athlete in both sports, to this day I'm still not sure of my reason to choose football over my true love of basketball to initially pursue as a career. Maybe some other post I'll cross that bridge. And perhaps I do know the reason, I just choose to ignore it as that time has long since passed. I was a professional athlete, but in none of the sports I played in high school or college. I was a professional mountain biker and snowboarder. Though in these two sports there is not much difference between an amateur and a pro outside of financial gain.
I also received two doctorates and started in the game of music. How you define a professional musician has the same difficulty as defining yourself as a professional mechanic. And I don't mean wet work, for instance in my friend Jason Statham's new film Mechanic: Resurrection. Well, shiver me timbers I just contradicted a prior statement. Quick detour and segue. (segway) Yes we have all seen that knowing someone famous will absolutely make you famous.
I'm sure you're all thinking get on with it as the title is to pic or not to pic.
I grew up in a family that did not take very many pictures. At least of me. To be honest I wish I had more, specifically to share with my wife Anna Bella. But for others pictures seem to be proof. With photo shop and editing, you can be whomever you want to be whenever you want to. But we know when people are full of it.
So here's an anecdote about why I don't take pictures. It is simple and maybe even silly. But this is when it all clicked for me. In high school I was invited to the McDonald's all American tournament. This was a game between the two best teams in each class and division. How it started was that each state would hold this for classes A-D. Now, the tournament that I am speaking of is when they take the best players from the US no matter class or division. I took place in and won the dunk contest and though I had qualified or rather was chosen, for the skills challenge, I turned that down to focus on the dunk contest and the championship game itself. Which by the way I was the MVP of the game.  I could have went to any college or university in the united states. And could have went into professional basketball directly out of high school for several NBA teams. In my time, this was not common place or accepted as I graduated high school in 1993. A side note: I had played in AAU leagues and a little competition called Gus Macker. My team mate was always the eventual professional basketball player, Chris Weber. Chris and I were ranked one and two respectfully until he graduated as he was a year older, then I was ranked number one for the following year. So prior to the final McDonald's tournament you had your state's championship game. I was named Mr. Basketball for my state and the US that year. And then on to the McDonald's all American tournament. Though I have strayed slightly from my point, I am getting back to it. That year the championship games were held at the palace of Auburn hills where the Detroit Pistons play. As my division had already played, I was sitting second row with a group of friends/players watching class A. Back then which classes played in what order was based on a lottery system as opposed to now they run them in order. And unlike now there was only one game for each division. And one McDonald's all American tournament.
So to the story: I watch basketball on television often. Specifically the Chicago Bulls. When I grew up there were not many stations like there are now. Other than playing, I had never seen a professional basketball stadium from a viewing stand point. To understand how exceptional I was, as opposed to my 6'4" 265lb frame now, at the age of 18 I was only 5'8" 165lbs. Why is this poignant? I was able to succeed and be the best of the best without carrying arrogance because I was always having to work so hard as everyone was always so much taller. So I did not have time to think I was great. But this has been the way I have been my entire life. And though my family had wealth, means, opportunity, I found myself overwhelmed with oppression, possessiveness and restriction. Though for me and most others at this time, this was considered normal. The poignancy is the inability to see that which is right in front of you.
So yet again second row court side.  Myself and several of my friends watching the highlight of the tournament class A. All team members ranging from 6'5" to 6'11"  and not a white boy on either team. Even though I'm part black for me and my friends, it was a treat. Remember this was the time of white men can't jump. Other than myself of course with a 53"+ vertical. Us several boys had torn our ticket stubs in half as we were given special passes but also had to have tickets; gave our other halves to a few friends that were not players in this tournament so they had court side seats. And it actually worked.
So now we're ready for tip off. 6'9" 220lb center. Tips the ball to the point guard. Sets up for a position, a pick n roll (I believe the centers name was Leon) he cuts through the left side. They throw an alleyoop. He grabs it and an incredible fascinating dunk occurs. But what was I, the amazing Joshua doing at the time? That's right, looking at the jumbo tron. A giant tv screen. I missed it. I missed what was right in front of my eyes in real time. Of course I jumped up and cheered as I swear to you it took me five seconds to realize that I basically watched on tv what I could have watched in person. Experience gone. Of course to satisfy my stupidity, as I told my friends, I and they stated don't worry we have the entire rest of the game to see plays like that. Not one other dunk that game. I have had a record number dunks in one game my junior year in high school at 9, beating Chris Webber's 8 that he held a year prior to this. I have to this day the highest points ever in a high school basketball game, at 78, yes 78 points in a single basketball game. I had accomplished several quadruple doubles and I had averaged a triple double my Sophomore and junior years in high school. In a game, though not particularly in my league, but in AAU and other tournaments including myself there were many dunks. On my basketball team in high school, our 6'5" center was the only other person that ever dunked in the game. So experiencing it in a game is different that experiencing it from a viewers perspective. After the class A game was a class C game, these guys were dunking left and right. I felt redeemed but not satisfied.
During the summer after I graduated, after this experience, I went out and bought a Pentax K 1000, 35mm analog with a 50mm lens. I could have went digital but I was old school before there was old school.
My whole point of getting this camera was based upon that event. To take pictures of moments that had to be held in a still pic. Almost as if so I could enjoy what should be simply in my memory. I nabbed a couple pictures of lightning. One less than 20feet away. A picture of a hummingbird caught in flight in absolute still motion. A friend had a feeder, I set the F stop properly, and had a one second delay on my camera for lens closure, and nabbed it. But the problem was this, film. Development. And not letting your former girl friend's mother keep the pictures and the negatives. People take pictures of everything. But it's not for themselves. Or their children. Or their own experience. They take pictures to post on social media to say hey, look at me. Check out my clothes, my body, my hair. Selling themselves to the highest or lowest bidder. Hoping for accolades and validation. Not everyone of course. I have several friends on social media who post pictures of nature when they travel. Or special events such as their 90 year old grandfathers birthday. Or simply a street sign sharing part of their lives, and travels and exploits minus exploitation. Again I wish I had more pictures of myself or rather that are in my possession. My wife who is adopted, her parents had basically documented every moment of her life. Unfortunately one day went over to her mother's home while my wife taking a nap peacefully, had no clue that I was being subject to 21 years of pictures and video. My wife's childhood pictures can only be cute the first ten or twelve times. I suppose it worked out great for her parents as we no longer speak with them. The explanation is personal, but I will tell you this, the constant looking at these pictures by my wife's mother seemed to give her an attitude to live in the past with possessiveness and ownership towards my Andy, my wife. I had spent more time with my wife when I met her and experienced more with her in one month than her parents or her entire family did in the previous 21 years. As our relationship together, still of now, is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by each other's side. Should I have been spending my time taking pictures of memories, or making memories? Should I be thinking about the past, or living in the present, striving for the future? This has become very serious. SnapChat, Instagram, face book, Twitter, YouTube, on and on. When I started in music, I had a couple of friends that were musicians also. But they had the attitude that some A&R Rep would drive by their parents garage (garage band) hoping they would  see and hear them, and bam record deal. Now they post a pic or a video and are hoping for the same thing. What's amazing is that it actually happens. They get their fame, they get their record deal. They get their reality show. I stand by today what I said by 20 years ago. This is no way to make a career. The right motives and intentions have so much to do with everything. And if you're doing this for these reasons, 99.99% of you will be disappointed. The old sayin get busy living or get busy dying should now be get busy living or get busy documenting your every move and share it with the world. I have a few people in mind I could speak about who is doing this, and most likely exactly at this moment, but the fact that we're all thinking of the same people, well, we all know. And if you take the first letter of their last names, it equals KKK. There ya go conspiracy theorist and the illuminati.
So to pic or not to pic. As pictures have been an important part of our lives and history documenting and preserving our personal lives and the growth of our country and through this history allowing for significance from insignificance as time passed. In social media the documentation of your bathing suit, and a big butt, will have no baring on anybody's life and I hope to God will not be significant in our future to our new country's history. I end with this, to pick or not to pick. That is the question.
One last note: Why is everybody else looking at everybody else's photos? Why are 70+ million people looking at pictures of one little girl on instagram? And she's only looking at a few peoples pictures. Does that not seem odd? What is so interesting? And since 90% of pictures with girls is with their clothes off, if you are married, have children, in a relationship, and if they are under 30 and you are over five years older than them, shame on you. Thank you, take care.
~ Joshua Jet Vaughan ~
Post Script: If a picture is worth a thousand words, then tell me what those thousand words entail. And since many pictures have long drawn out statements with them, you are now devaluing the picture itself. So you're not sharing a moment. I believe you are taking moments from others. Please put value and meaning back into your pictures. And for those who are married and have their husband or wife sharing pics half naked or completely. You're not sharing your life you're sharing your wife #KKK why did I just hashtag? It actually should be kk kk kk kj kj kj cj rk how you enjoy this post. There's just some things I don't believe I will ever understand. Nor will I ever want to. And if you disagree with me ask yourself this, does a picture of someone you know or most likely don't know with their shirt off, in a bathing suit, perhaps a picture of their meal, better your life? When I am 90 years old, I will not remember any of the people who post these types of pics. I will most likely not remember the pics themselves. Which begs the question why do we remember the pics of the seven wonders of the world? The great buildings. Great feats accomplished by man? Etc. When I used to see these pics I would think how I wanted to visit these places so badly or see that person do something so physically amazing; when i was younger when i wanted  to see a girl in a bathing suit i would drive a few miles to the beach. Now all I have to do is go on social media and take my pick of a pic. The only thing they have in common, still no touching allowed. And though this may seem a little off the subject, I am a very strong advocate for the homeless, starvation, and people with serious health issues. Maybe I can just take a pic of a hamburger and show it to these people and say enjoy. My point is is if you look at it that way it seems quite self serving. Have a great day and spend your time living your life. And if you're that great at something, believe you me, someone else will document it. And THAT is wisdom.

That's life, #DNC #RNC #JuliaStiles

I have never been ashamed to call myself an American. My wife and I are immigrants. But truthfully, aren't we all? No matter what I've been through in my life, I've never lost my perspective on life. Life is not easy. Many times we don't get what we want. And often we never get what we need. I started life working very hard, work that very few people could comprehend. In the summer time I first started working at the age of 8. And though my family accumulated much wealth from my work, I never saw a dime. But I thought that's the way it was.

My wife informed me that the political train activists that jump on every four years are called surrogates. If you want to be a political activist you have to live in the muck and filth; you have to know what real life is all about. I read tweets and facebook posts from famous wealthy actors, musicians, actually lets call a spade a spade they are celebrities.
I recently read a tweet from Julia Stiles. The fact that I do not have to tell you who she is proves my point already. The tweet is this: I truly fear for my country if that man is elected. Obviously she means Trump and as the president of the US. This is what I call fear mongering. Before I go on, let me make a point. You will never hear the lower or middle class speaking this, let alone putting it out on social media. They are too busy dealing with each moment of each day. As they are living a real life.
Hard work, struggles, health issues. Julia Stiles way of life will not change no matter who is elected. She doesn't even follow a tenth of a percent of the people that follow her. She can't speak for the realism that it is to have hardships. I would like to ask her what it is in her life does she fears will happen to change it for the worst.
So lets go through this reasonably. Will her finances change? Will her job opportunities change? Her healthcare? Her ability to have a massive forum? Her way of life in general? If she is a good steward, family member, friend? Will the lives of those she had befriended and those of her family, will their lives change for the worse? Will she have to go up to the local library to send out a tweet? Because she can't afford a $600 a month iPhone? Will she eat different? Not be able to get her hair done by a professional that charges $400 every 10 minutes? Will she have to downgrade her wardrobe? No matter who becomes president will they affect her life directly? Absolutely not. There are many others I could talk about, but unfortunately this poor girl was the one who's tweet I came across. I will not resort to name calling. Just the facts.
People put out these tweets, no specifics, no one cares what they have to say except the pitiful people that follow them. Sure we all think that we have been through something in life, but to Julia and others like her, you have not. And god forbid something real ever did happen, it would not be because of who is our president. And you would crumble, like a handful of soda crackers into a bowl of soup.
Why do you fear for this country? I'm not going to state my political views other than this: Both candidates have lost their damn minds. But does anybody really believe in today's sycophantic world that these candidates are not playing on the personalities of the US citizens?
For instance a movie. Being made with the hopes that the U.S. and world population will want to go see this movie. Writers knowing exactly how to pull people in. Producing editing, cinematography. Direction. It is sad that politics have always been like this, but have gotten so much worse. All they have to do is look on social media, read peoples tweets, and have a group of directors tell them exactly what needs to be said and done to reach a certain group of people.
Meryl Streep looked and sounded ridiculous at the DNC. Scott Baio at the RNC. It is irresponsible when you have that much influence to advocate one candidate or another. And I don't even want to get started on the narrative by Morgan freeman on Hilary Clinton. As I was sitting down hands on forehead, eyes closed because of a headache; I found myself sucked into Morgan's monologue. I had to look up at the television screen to remind myself of who he was speaking about. Epiphany. Is this what people do? Heads down, eyes shut hearing the beautiful voice of Morgan Freeman, a speech so perfectly written sounding as if god himself were speaking? Pardon the pun. For one brief moment, I had found myself in the false feeling of comfort and safety. But just for a moment. The validity of Morgan Freeman giving this narrative would be the same as Michael Jordan giving a speech about the use of cocaine for grade schoolers at a basketball seminar. Advocating the use of this drug. And we would think but it's Michael Jordan, it must be alright. The point is the old adage with great power, and I add influence, comes great responsibility. If you don't agree with me, that people can be persuaded or even brainwashed by ideology through influence. Refer back to Adolf Hitler. People grab a hold of people who have become successful worldly.  If you don't agree with me, then why not just pick someone randomly without fame or fortune to speak for you? When celebrities support one candidate, how is that uniting anybody? They are not talking about what a specific candidate can do for our country, they are spending their time denouncing another candidate through degradation. Speaking not only of what they can't do, but what they will do to harm individuals and our country as a whole. Though I have a hand in many things, music is my true love and joy. When I look at musicians, other than so called musicians such as Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry, more so real musicians such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie ray Vaughan. Each are unique. Their playing specifically guitar, is very much alike. The subtle differences do not make me degrade, they make me appreciate the fact that I have the choice to listen to different styles, pardon the pun. Stemmed from the basic principles of music. Honed to their own need of perfection. With the hope that people will enjoy their music. Miley Cyrus makes, or rather computers make, music that caters to a specific demographic for radio play, fame and money. When Eric Clapton plays, he does so for the joy and love of making music. And if it becomes a so called pop hit (popular culture) that is decided by the people who listen. Ultimately respecting those who come before him. Those who are successful at this present time along side him, and hopefully leaving behind a legacy for those who will succeed him. If politicians did this; had the same respect and point of view, the world would be better off. Hilary holds on to the theory of diplomacy. Donald hold on to the kick ass and take names later. But both of these approaches are needed. It's knowing when to use what. Discernment and grace. We seem to forget that presidents do not have absolute power. No one president can destroy the country or fix the country. We have Congress, a senate, governors, mayors, etc. When will people stop buying into this game? I would like to hear a presidential candidate say I'm going to do my best to work with my colleagues, do my job to the best of my ability. I am not infallible. I will make mistakes. But when I do so I will own up to them and do my best to fix my mistakes. But the game of politics will not allow for this kind of speech. And only allows for propaganda and rhetoric.  If a so called everyday man does this they are condemned as volatile and labeled with what turns out to be derogatory titles such as the tea party.
Furthermore once again I see no candidate giving specifics on how to solve our problems. But on how the other will cause more. Through insults, degradation, and childish antics. Back to Julia Stiles. I have been through more in one second of my life than she will go through in a thousand lifetimes. My wife is typing this right now, as I have days of such illness the process of breathing becomes more tedious than an individual running 100 mile marathon in 12 hours.  Yet I have accomplished so much more in my life; what has happened to me and my health, has and will never have anything to do with who is elected president. And if I could laugh right now, at these Hollywood celebrities, whose worst life experience is not getting nominated for an Oscar, i wouldn't, because they deserve a spanking and a grounding. It has taken me four years to make an album that I could have done in less than a week in my health. I have had five strokes, I have been in a coma, and I have several surgeries to go before I am better. So I end with this, Julia stiles says she fears for this country. Without even having the conviction or the courage to state the name of the person she is talking about.
Who exactly does she fear for? It's not for herself. And it's not for others. If she can tell me one person, specifically that she knows the she fears for and what she fears for them, then maybe I will listen. But if she knows someone that if that man is elected president that will cause such detriment to their lives, then you have serious issues Julia because you are a god awful friend.
You cant help  350,000,000 at one time. Whether you have the resources or not, but you can always help one. My advice, stop complaining on Twitter, and do something productive with your life. There is absolutely a better way to contribute to society than talking or whining about things you know nothing of. The only thing we all know about Julia Stiles who do not know her personally, is that she knows how to sing and dance with black guys. If you don't get this just watch her movies.
My advice, don't listen to these people. Educate yourself, have discernment,. I'm a Republican. But I'm not going to stand on ceremony and vote for someone that is a Republican because my family raised me to be one. Or not vote for a Democrat for the same reasons. We haven't caught onto the fact that politicians say one thing and never do what they say? Never take responsibility but always blame it on the opposing party? Starting out degrading the party he represents?  So in ending, shouldn't Julia be telling us why Hilary should be president? Not why Donald shouldn't? She cant because neither candidate knows the reasons. There are the two people we have to choose from. What happens happens. That's just life.

Post Script: When has a president ever exceeded our expectations? Furthermore when has a president ever met our expectations? And when has any person on this planet expected anything but what's best for themselves? And that's the real problem. Take care
Joshua Jet Vaughan
Post, post script: Whomever is elected president does not make me hold fear. It will not change my life in any way shape or form. If the world ends, somehow because of Donald Trump, so be it. That's God's will. And as far as Hilary, the utmost ridiculous statement ever coined that she stated that so many  consider a proverb: The only thing you have to fear is fear itself. This needs to be stricken and eradicated from the history books. The depths of the idiocy of this quip needs no explanation. But if you do not see or hear the subtle undertones this was being voiced at Donald himself. For the fact that the Democratic party is acknowledging that he is creating fear but by doing so they are making a point for the Republican party. That your fear is irrational. A contradiction within itself. If you are afraid of heights do not go to the highest place on this planet and jump. Irrational fears become rational when you make them relevant. All the people who stated they are going to leave the country if Donald is elected president were denounced by Michele Obama by addressing this and stating that America does not need to be made great again, (Trump's campaign slogan)  it is the best country in the world. Whatever happens stop being so dramatic. Especially celebrities. A glorified life. Where they have more influence on society than the president of the united states. And if you don't agree, when feeling down or bad, can or does a movie or song comfort you? Or the State of the Union address?

Steroids and Hollywood

We believe everyone should love themselves, but live so that they are healthy and happy.  Our self image is something that is often exploited and manipulated by media and celebrities today via words, pictures, actions.  And while we at GSET do not condone the use of steroids, the pressure and temptation to take them to gain the muscularity and/or to lean down is strong.  Please take the time to read this post that my husband, our founder, posted to our close friends and family today, and remember, steroids is different but similar to other ways of manipulating our body; plastic surgery, weight loss surgery dieting, exercise, etc. Get the facts before you leap into anything and remember you are beautiful.
Much Love
Annabella Vaughan

I don't advocate the use of steroids. But I don't condemn the use either. I will say that if you have a preexisting health condition; stay away from them. If you do use them, find a mentor and if at all possible, a doctor. Contrary to popular belief, steroids, meaning anabolic, are prescribed for many health issues. Many people use steroids and the worst side effect they have is water retention. So be aware of yourself as knowing oneself and having balance utilizing the intensity and aggression for something productive is very important. Now to my main point. Steroid use in Hollywood. 9 out of 10 actors who beef up for a role use anabolic steroids.

To understand what anabolics are, they simply take the esters from testosterone, rearrange the carbon, creating different types of anabolic steroids. My biggest problem is I don't advocate lying. The condemnation of bodybuilders and other athletes is ridiculous. But bodybuilders don't lie about the use of steroids. I have several friends who are well known actors in Hollywood. They all deny using steroids. As I was a doctor for a short period of time, they would seek my expertise on such substances. And I was required by law/Hippocratic oath to administer such drugs to my patients even if I did not prescribe. It was the same as when insulin needles were made readily available for heroine addicts. However I would never out my friends, as this is not my place.

The simplest understanding is if someone is using steroids, number one: When they offer without being questioned for instance ' how did you bulk up for this role' answering I have never used steroids. There is also a misconception that people have to use them to gain a certain amount of mass along with different medications to get ripped. This is not true. It is when someone has never lifted their entire life or had eaten properly and puts on 45lbs of what seems to be pure muscle in a 3 month period. Not impossible but very rare. But this is deceptive as an athletic person can use anabolic steroids for the first time and put on size just from the drugs alone. It is the muscle last that should get your attention. It is not difficult for a 160lb man to put on 20lbs of muscle in 3 months. But can be very difficult for a 220 lb man to do the same.

I'm sharing this video because I know the truth behind the scenes. If you have muscle memory, eat right, exercise properly, it is possible to put on enough size to look as if you are taking anabolic steroids. It is the fluctuation you must be aware of. Lee Haney stated that he does not advocate the use of steroids after retirement. I find this contradicting. I have heard ex-professional bodybuilders stating that anabolics are just hormones. They are nothing to play around with. Many men are on testosterone replacement now a days, however, most doctors are ignorant. Without using androgens, and the occasional use of diuretics. The new fad is Androgel. Which is supposedly bioidentical to the body's own production of testosterone. But those are being recalled as they damaged cellular structure. Synthetic testosterone such as cypianate are given primarily at 200 mg does bi-monthly. Another testosterone though illegal in most parts of the US is called Sustanon. Though Merc has bought out this drug meaning the rights from the primary distributor in hopes to make it legal in all 50 states. Both cypianate and sustanon holds 4esters.

Personally I feel that more education must be provided about these drugs. But more so to the doctors than the users. These medications have been around for more than a century. And they are still taboo? Another reason I am posting this is I am still often asked about how to use these n medications. I don't have the answer. They are still difficult go understand, and far too easy to use. Lastly, I have far too many family members on testosterone replacement. As I have not renewed my medical license as of yet, I can only provide them with instruction. The ups and downs of certain family members is absurd. And the doctors do not prescribe the other medications to provide the balance between the other hormones themselves. So if this post applies to you, educate yourself so you can educate your doctor. This is one of the two specialties that I received my degree in.

Please take care is yourself. And do as much much research as possible. And my last piece of advice, stay of from the forums. I give you two names. These doctors would be more than happy to clear things up with you. Dr Llewellyn and Doctor O'Connor. Furthermore most who have taken steroids for a long period of time will need testosterone replacement for the rest of their lives. So do not stop cold turkey, and if you can seek doctor supervision to wean down and get of from these drugs. Low testosterone is more dangerous than high testosterone. You can take testosterone and gave a level of over 3000, and for the most part be healthy. If your testosterone ever drops under 100, for most of the population, you'll be dead. Make sure to get your levels tested every three months. The normal testosterone range should be from 580-1150. Anything between these range points, there will be fluctuation to figure out when you feel the best. And that should take about a year. And if have used steroids, anywhere from 18-24 months.

If anyone would like specific details, feel free to ask. Take care.

#People Magazine's article on our friend John Schaech

http://site.people.com/home/johnathon-schaech-family-home/?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag

I am sharing this post for a couple reasons. If you've read my other posts you have an idea of my personality. No matter money, fame, title, you don't have to have a 10 million dollar house to feel relevant. You just have to have a house that makes you feel at home. God bless. Enjoy

Celebrity Cyberbullying

When does it become ok to use your success to belittle, demean and physically threaten someone on social media? The answer: Never. No matter what your "status" if you are so offended by words that you threaten someone physically then it's A: Time to grow up B: Time to realize you are the reason why there is so much hate in this world constantly feeding it and C: A foolish person because as the bible states an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, only a foolish man lives by this. So that being said here is a post that JJV posted on his facebook

I'm going to share a post. The name of the writer will be included. I had replied to Jim stating that no matter what anybody calls you, threatening others with violence is wrong. So here is a post from Jim replying to another person.
When I replied to Jim stating that there's no reason to threaten others and said that the hypocrisy is in your vulgarity and violent threats, so to be completely honest, I called him an asshole then stated does this warrant the threat of bodily harm? As he made clear in his last sentence. Here's Jim's response to this.

Normally I would not put this out there, but it is on his page and I have received dozens of threats from his followers. Here is my reply.

As you can see in my reply, I apologized for what I had said wrong. But still have no apology from Jim. I thought long and hard if I should share this conversation with Jim Beaver. I did my best to make amends. But obviously he believes that people are beneath him, that he can reply vaguely with no conviction, use much profanity, threaten bodily harm to others, and as you read his replies to me, he believes that he is right because of the amount of followers he has. This is a form of cyber bullying. And what Jim doesn't understand is that when you are famous, people agreeing with you does not make you right. Millions believed Adolf Hitler was right, and millions believe Hilary Clinton and /or Donald Trump are right. He says all of this in such vanity and arrogance, and I have no respect for him any longer. What I do know is this, you are childish and delusional, especially someone his age if you believe other people make you right through validation. And you are a pompous imbecile if you threaten physical harm to another because they called you a name. Poor Jim. A deviant child who throws a fit. When he doesn't get his way. And I will not stand for this behavior. I don't believe I need to say any more: the posts and replies speak for themselves

So if you have read my comments and Jim Beaver 's I'm going to add one last thing. First I wish I could have copied the comment from the man he threatened. But conveniently enough, Jim deleted it. So you'll have to rely on the other posts. Defamation is not criminal, it is civil. But the first amendment allows us to state our opinions. People are easily offended. But threatening somebody in any manner, even vaguely (which he did not even have the balls to state directly to the person) is criminal assault. And when researching the statement he made on his facebook page, it is punishable as a high court misdemeanor and serving up to 3 years in jail. Though some states only allow you to serve 2 years. If you look up the statement on the FBI database Jim's threat is punishable by 3-5 years in prison. Under the new cyber bullying act. Whatever takes place, whatever words are exchanged, and as you can see he points out what was said in his own post, there is never the right to reply violence. What I really think is who the hell does Jim think he is? I don't give a shit about his twitter page or his facebook page. This is a lonely old man who needs constant validation because of an immense insecurity. He believes he is higher than thou and has no respect for anyone. He wants you to respect him, but if simply disagree upon just read how he belittles and attacks with self righteousness and ego. And as I can not point this out enough look at the last sentence of the post to a man who disagreed with him. You are lucky this is not the local bar. So lastly I expect this from a 20 year old but not from a 65 year old. And sorry Jim, this makes you elderly. Legally. You must be very proud. #LateLifeCrisis

Inquire to Inspire

We often confuse happiness with joy. To many; our definition of happiness and joy may seem to feel the same. They are not. Happiness is an emotion based upon a momentary experience or even thought which is ever fleeting. Joyfulness is a condition of the spirit. It is never fleeting. To elaborate: Through life experience both are necessary. Your platform should be of joy and your forum of happiness. They must coexist. We are born with joy. Our joy gets lost within the confusion of happiness. So why must our forum be happiness? The reason is that we have become older and jaded. So we must utilize the momentary want of the emotion happiness to bring us back to the constant need of the everlasting condition of joy. And as we are our brother's keeper; if using this philosophy, creating happy moments for another allows joy to once again be our true fulfillment.
When stating an inspirational quote of your own or of another, think of this. There's no negative connotation to a truthful quote that reaches absolution. By example: Taylor Swift stated "haters gonna hate" the opposite of this is "lovers gonna love" though this quip that reached billions of people within 5 minutes is of ignorance and selfishness based upon her own circumstance. A blessed life that is dramatized and directed toward the new phrase twitter trolls. On an added note I remember seeing this statement on bumper stickers and t shirts 35 years ago. It is momentary and applies only to her at that time and is self serving. Albert Einstein stated this quote: "A life lived for others is the only life worth living." The opposition 'a life lived for oneself is the only life worth living' making Albert's statement universal. It was not made based on unhappiness or doubt. It was based upon joyfulness and faith. So please when stating inspirational quotes make sure the philosophy behind it is a true understanding of human nature, human need, and human suffering. You must empathize when inspiring. Meaning to suffer along with. We all handle our circumstance differently. How to be vague with specificity. When trying to inspire your words must resonate through all people in all circumstance. Your understanding must be greater than that of your own situation. I have told my wife and others this statement often. If a few words and/or a hug solves your problems then you have none. But we must still do this. In one of my quotes, your words and your actions are only as good as the heart behind them. Many times, too often we speak and we do not act. So if you are not self serving and you are truly trying to inspire; understanding that many people are going through horrible circumstance that we know nothing of and could not possibly understand, then if a person does not agree or the inspiration does not resonate and speaks this to the person who wrote the quip, and you receive this with empathy, sympathy, compassion, then that is truly inspiring. When you ask someone how they are doing, do you really want to know? I will use social media as an example. Social media is a representation of ourself in another form. Many do not favorite or retweet, like or share. I have spoken of this before. Usually comedically. If you are one of these people that does not do these things. Then you are doing all the talking and none of the listening. My advice, you can not learn anything if you do not stop talking and start listening. And you certainly will learn nothing about another person. So if you spend your time throwing out statements, philosophy, inspirational quotes, what could you possibly know when you know nothing of the person you are speaking them to. And lastly, I state this: We often state that social media is different than real life. That it is not personal. Then I ask you this, why are there over two thirds of the world population using twitter and facebook? If your life is so complete, and you could live without it, then why be on it? If you had such an incredible platform using your daily life ad your forum to inspire, then why does someone feel the need to inspire on twitter and facebook. So getting down to the brasstax. If you are unwilling to communicate with your friends on social media, unwilling to share and care, how does this reflect in your own life outside of social media? How can you inspire when you're not even willing to inquire. The old adage listen and learn, well I say listen and love. Start asking questions of people. Get to know them. The best way to inspire is to take the time to understand another person.  Two of the greatest statements by the greatest man are continuously over looked. As we regulate them through our own rules. Thou shall not Judge. Love one another as I have loved you. Do this and your words will truly inspire. And though not quite as great of a statement. Stop self promoting. I don't care what you do, I care who you are. I do care, however what you do for others and what you are for yourself. So I say this, the invention of inspiration is not just of your own. It is a creation manifested through you. Simply through divine intervention. If we are going through troubled times, how do we inspire? If we are truly receiving immense blessings, people look at that and become inspired. But as nothing happens out of God's will, your inspiration must come from the spirit. And into inspire others you must live by this. Our greater understanding is not always our understanding. It is to constitute a conduit. But there are times that it is our understanding. As I quote "I will suffer you as you will learn more from your suffering than from your blessings" and I end with this, do not mistake a man who has suffered as not being blessed. When understanding the blessings that come from sufferings;  suffering will end. And blessings for others will begin. And if my word is not good enough, or my example then the application of this knowledge comes from Jesus. Sufferings and blessings. Happiness and joy. Coexistence. Have perspective, balance, listen to the person who knows what you don't. Discernment will decide if this is true, so how do you know what you don't know?  By knowing what you do.  And how do you now know what you know? By learning what you didn't. Take care.

On a personal note: Why music resonates with me; though it should only take you about five minutes to read my post, if you carefully listen to the words in this song, which is also five minutes, you can now understand why music is an absolute. And if you understand this, you possibly could be on the right path.

Newer not better part two

Okay, so companies are constantly looking for ways to invent themselves. Constantly changing products to stay relevant. People do this too. But when does it go to far?

When someone's life is in your hands.
We've talked before any the corruption of the medical community in different parts of the country, and sadly it happens regardless of income, stature or position, but happens more commonly with the poor. I've heard several stories of patients going into emergency rooms and being turned away for having a public insurance such as Medicaid or Medicare (and though this is illegal) many don't know their rights or are not in a position to have them enforced.

so when your loved one or yourself is undergoing treatment and it is working why do doctors go and change it. My husband recently was undergoing treatment and finally had a few of his symptoms managed and the doctor changed his regimen. No explanation, on fact we didn't even see him first. Didn't even find out until the nurse came in to administer the new treatment (my husband being in the hospital preparing for surgery) we were outraged. I immediately called our lawyer and the hospital liason, and we got it worked out, but not everyone has these resources available. The doctor had argued that this treatment is new and is supposed to be better for patients, fewer side effects, etc. But how many times have you seen those pharmaceutical commercials with an outrageous list of side effects, miraculous claims, and almost all last death as a side effect. This is not the point I originally wanted to make, but here it is. Know your rights, with doctors especially and remember that you can consult with a lawyer for free. So grab a phone book and if you don't find your answers from the first one, call another. Second, if legal means will not help you, remember that we live in an age of media. Call your local news stations, call your local papers. Ask who you can talk to to report a story on corruption and if no one listens keep calling.

Newer, not better

It doesn't occur as often any longer, but just ten years ago it seemed as if you couldn't pass a day without hearing the phrase "new and improved." But why do companies do this? Constantly coke out with something new? Although I do see the point of it, why don't you keep the old products? I've seen this so many times.

With nutritional supplements. For example, when I first met my husband I got on this fat burner kick. Not to help me lose weight, with his training I was shedding the pounds fast enough on my own, but to help me get off my caffeine addiction problem. (over 40 cups a day plus several energy drinks) When I tried to do these cold turkey it simply didn't go well. So I started taking Hydroxycut Elite. Amazing ! No jitters. Clean energy. Actually improved my mood. No crash. I felt good. That in addition to eating right, working out, working towards my dreams in music, and most importantly my hunky gorgeous eye candy of a man (and all those great personality traits too, but what can I say my husband is a stud and I never thought I'd be with a stud. I used to tell him he was my best accessory ever, but that his looks were just a nice bonus on top of everything he is that I could ever hope for in a man)
I'm going to segue for a moment because now i want to share a story. Joshua used to watch all the guilty pleasure movies i wanted to see. Heck, one of our first dates was hoping to see the movie 9 which is funny because this was before he told me he despises animated films. (btw i loved it, recommend it, but especially if you have a gorgeous man to hold your hand through it) but we were at home shortly after we moved in together and ere watching one of the twilight movies, when a thought I'd had for a while and hinted to him ("did you know you're every girls dream man?" " you could be a romance novel hero") we were sitting in the couch watching Twilight when he looked at me and exclaimed "holy shit I'm Edward!" I laughed so hard that i literally fell off the couch. Which led to non-PG reassurances that he was so much better.

back to hydroxy cut. So 6 months after i discovered this amazing product, they stopped making it. No warning, no "we're phasing this product out so stock up while you can, just one day you couldn't order it any longer. And i was pissed. Even more so when i tried their new "black" and then "pro" which suck! Made me feel sick, jittery, couldn't relax, couldn't work out it made me so sick. Made me depressed. Ugh! And the crash... Good night.
Why?! Why get rid of a product that was so successful? Hell it said right on the bottle over 1 million bottles sold! If you sold a million of anything why would you get rid of it?

my point is beyond these pretty problems, I'll continue in the next post. But please share with me your newer Is NOT better anecdote.

til we meet again

From the lips of an Angel

A few weeks ago my husband posted this on twitter. I thought I would share it as I feel the same way and am ashamed of many of our colleagues and fellow human beings, and hope that those who read, that are already of like mind, may learn something and pass it on. I wanted to write this as I titled it from the lips of an angel which I believe my husband to be, but know he is fat to humble to call himself such, and felt led to make that distinction.

Exactly a dozen times I have been asked to donate, favorite & retweet from multimillionaires. So I've donated more than most people make. In a lifetime in the last yr. I have faved & rted each time. These are my colleagues & supposed to be my friends. I have never crowd funded Nor asked for money for my causes because I have the money myself, I believe enough in myself and my cause to invest in it. I don't expect Friends to fav and rt unless I ask them. Obviously they may never see the tweet. But those I have reached out to, to fav and rt and haven't? Shame on you. I will always give, but I will do so never again for those who have asked me. And for those who have the money & resources To support their own cause, but don't even match what those with little money give, again shame on you..

Twitterants- hunting and fishing

I used to hunt I don't anymore I'm not against it Though my family was well off many people would have not survived w/o specifically venison And fish. The main reason for not hunting is; after doing so, I lost the taste for it b/c of a bad experience. As I have a home in Mi where Most of my youth was spent, people are now having a hard time 2 find food. The worst experience w animals was seeing a deer that had starved To death. So I love all animals and want to protect all wildlife, but with climate change, deforestation, starving humans & starving animals Sometimes hunting is the humane thing. And if you've ever been to Michigan, besides the water, the food banks for the poor & needy Are primarily filled with cakes, cookies and sweets. I had to state this bc of my family making a fortune from movies, music, logging, oil.  Through their greed, others suffer. And the laws in certain states are killing people. My wife and I are doing our best to help, as I have Unique experience and understanding more than most. And even though we would like to think everything's ok; &I am against the needless Killing of animals, especially for sport, every time I come back to Mi I see the same people who are still struggling that would not survive. If not for deer and fish .

About Joshua

I met my husband 7 years ago in Alden at karaoke, and we were married soon after. From the moment of meeting we knew that we wanted to spend the rest of our life together and that God had created us for one another. My husband is enormously talented; (in so many ways) especially gifted in music. Being a musician myself, it was easy for us to envision a life and careers together. My husband has lost more than just his health from this sickness; he has lost much, and in some cases all, of his ability to use the God given gifts and talents that he has, such as singing. The information, knowledge, and wisdom of how is all in his head, but the effects and consequential symptoms of his illness, especially the brain tumor, does not physically allow him to do so. In every way he is a prisoner within his own body. Though some doctors in the past have given him prognoses of a month or less to live, his strength to fight had kept him going and his hope that he will get the help he needs pushes him to stay alive and to still find strength and energy to love and guide me; consistently being my strength as well.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

I don't personally subscribe to this common cliche that Laughter is the best medicine. I'm sure that most cancer patients, like my husband, will tell you that while laughter is great, and joy is better, that laughter can hurt more than the good feeling that it is brought on by. Despite that fact, my husband still finds time and energy to bring me joy and laughter each and everyday, when I never truly felt the need or inspiration to do so before I met him. He is truly a gift, one that I would like to share with you now. Take Care GSET family.

New album-Coming Soon

So excited for my husband's new album to be released soon.  We've been talking of it for a while and with his health problems it has been a long difficult journey to finish.  I am so proud of him and I know that no one has ever put as much heart and soul, much less physical effort, into a world changing album.

I haven't talked extensively in detail about my husband's talent, mostly for selfish reasons, because it is difficult to see him going through this battle and fight with cancer each day and think about just how much he is fighting for, not to mention the part that I've had to play not only in helping him, but in a lot of times hindering him (most married couples will know what I mean.)  But truly I have never known, as a musician, any one with the musical talent that he has (amongst the many other gifts and talents he possesses.)

*Spoiler Alert* But this is a good one.  Our band's upcoming album (and I always refer to it as my husband's album because truly he is a one of a kind talent) is going to be world changing, and as our record company's focus, #BringRealMusicBack.

The first time Joshua ever played the guitar for me, I just sat there awestruck with my eyes closed.  He actually asked me if he was boring me.  But the sounds that he creates with the guitar are so melodic, yet powerful, rich and yet delicate, transcends anything I had ever heard before, and took me to an almost utopia of musical peace.  It's as though your entire life, you have (musically and otherwise) been searching for something in the boom boom of club music, the twang of country, the auto tuning of pop, to speak to your soul, but never find it.  And in his guitar I found that missing element to my soul, that speaks to my inner musician and music lover, and is the perfect blend of contemporary, classical, and genre yet to be named because we have never had music such as this before.

I'm blessed to be one of the few people that have heard my husband sing.  And his voice, well, it's like real hot cocoa. Not Swiss Miss, or Nestle, it's like the kind that you would get at a small mom and pop shop in Italy.  Rich, Creamy, Frothy, Smooth, that lingers over every taste bud, and sends your senses to a height that you never imagined before, and long after it is done, lingers as though it will remain a piece of you.  That is what my husband's voice is like.  Often times when he is just speaking, especially when he's telling me one of his childhood stories, my heart is warmed and the combination of his soothing voice and the joy of hearing of the good points in his childhood, makes me sleepy, that warm wrapped in a cozy blanket next to a fire on a cold winter's night sleepy.

An angel my husband's is, and the true 7th son of the 7th son.  I am grateful and blessed to have been a part of this project (our album) and excited for the world to finally hear the life changing, scratch that, soul changing experience that my husband's music will create.  This is a true collaboration or heart, mind, soul, sweat, tears, life, death, triumph in each melody line and each note uttered from my husband's lips, will allow you to find, musically (and hopefully spiritually and generally) the peace that you have been seeking.

I was in the studio yesterday, listening to a couple of the tracks again, while my husband was off probably buying another house for the homeless, or saving a baby from a burning building (he is truly my Superman) but I turned off the lights and just listened for a couple hours.  And all of the stress, of his health struggles, the responsibility of our life and our purpose and dreams to help others, everything else melted away.  Because that's what a true voice, true guitar, true real music can do.  Everyone can tell, can feel when a song is auto tuned, produced to nonrecognition, digitized to the point where there are no true musicians, no musical instruments beyond a computer keyboard, on tour with artists today.  That longing, that need will soon be filled. Be prepared to have your heart melt, your soul heal, and your ears be grateful.

Take Care GSET Family.

Everyday Inspiration- Jason

You never know when you may be someone's inspiration. I was talking with a young man named Mark a few weeks ago who told me a story. When he was in high school there was this kid named Jason. Jason wasn't popular, wasn't particularly good looking, wasn't from a wealthy family, but he was kind: Good hearted.
Mark didn't know Jason very well, but would always be kind to him. Since Jason's family had little money, Mark would often buy Jason lunch, though he didn't have a lot either. He brought in hand me downs for Jason and would invite him out when kids were getting together. These simple gestures were just second nature to Mark. Be kind to others. It's not a task it's a way of life.
A couple years after high school, Jason died in a tragic ice fishing accident. Mark just happened to be home from college at the time and decided to go to the funeral to pay his respects. When he arrived, he was immediately greeted by Jason's mother.
"You're Mark right? Please you must come sit up front with us, you were Jason's best friend."
Mark had no idea and was shocked and learned a valuable lesson. You never know when basic kindness can make a monumental difference in some else's life.
Never forget that each moment of your day is an opportunity to make someone else's better.

Take care friends.

complaining /grace/blessings/ expectation of others

Hello friends. It's been awhile, so here we go. I'm not one for complaining; unless its about my family or directed to my wife. Of course I'm kidding. But not really. I do not like airing my dirty laundry, nor my expectations of others. So brass tax. People need to learn grace.
when I first became ill, I learned about grace. I had realized that I have always had it. But I did not understand what it was. But now I know what it is. Today's world is sycophantic and it seems that the only way anybody is worthwhile is to be famous.
I hear the chatter about people wanting to leave the country if Donald Trump is elected president. This is not the first time this has been said. And of course it is spoken by celebrities. The people who receive the most blessings and still complain. Before going on; remember if you said this about president Obama, you would be titled a racist. I don't like mentioning names, but I feel I must. For instance: Miley Cyrus. A pretentious, stuck up brat. Who in a worldly way, has everything a person could want and need. A hypocrite, none the less, who stated not too long ago at the MTV awards that she was going to vote for Trump until Kanye said he was running. Yes, Kanye West. The biggest jackass on this planet.
I'm part Jewish and I would rather have a sit down with Adolf Hitler than a cup of coffee with that pretentious asshole Kanye West. Why the bad language? Because sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade. I told Miley, " you're going to leave this country for not just several hundred miles from where you live people are coming in abundantly to get away from persecution of their own country, however if you after a tourist from America's, this country treats you like a saint." So I said, " Miley, why don't you move to Burma and I'll see you back here in a few hours." Kanye West asking for money on Twitter. I said, why don't you just make a sex tape? It did wonders for your wife and get family. People will say, Joshua you only say things like this because you have F you money, wrong thing to say to me. Besides that's ridiculous, I've always down my mind. Mostly when it effects my life or others who need a voice. And lets not forget, I'm a grown man. First, this does concern me. This is my country, as it is yours. Second, if Donald is elected president, Miley would be saying fuck you to everybody who voted for him. I imagine her sitting in a room, crying and screaming, I want the golden egg now daddy. And then of course she would break out in song. However, it would be auto tuned. This is a girl, and I emphasize girl, that does not even know her own sexual orientation. Which makes you wonder about Liam Hemsworth (who is exactly one half a Hemsworth) But I will leave him alone, he has enough to deal with bring the less talented brother. Kanye West, same thing. Either he hates microphones intensely, or just hates people who get more attention than him. This is a world today, that even if we're multimillionaires, that we can simply get on Twitter and ask for money. But never ask a celebrity to follow back, favorite retweet or reply. Because pushing a button and supporting your supporters is laughable to all of them. I'm not talking about people who are famous. I'm talking about celebrities. Lets not forget we categorize people from A list to D list like we're ground beef. In correlation to the leaving of the country, and for the others who hypothetically would vote Trump into presidency, I give you this. Bill Maher states that any person that believes in God is schizophrenic. Besides the fact that he voted for our current president, who claims he's a Christian, Bill would be stating that he had voted for a schizophrenic. And after voting for Obama wonders why his judgment is questioned.
besides condemning the rest of us who did or did not, he more complains that president Obama will not be a guest on his television show. I wonder why. The implication of this is that 95% of the world population is not only schizophrenic, but is suffering from some mass form of delusion. This is a child who smokes pot more often than most people drink water, except for if you live in Flint. Then there's Jada Pinkett Smith boycotting the Oscars. Trying to create chaos, yet we're so afraid and politically correct, that when Stacey Dash made a joke about black history month , the Oscar attendees scoffed in fear. Her point is there's no white history month, and she's black. But for that matter, there is no history month for any other race in the United States . Jada doing her best to segregate and incite chaos . It did not have the effect she wanted. My dear friend Michael Caine stated, you do not nominate someone for an award just because they after black. It's the same for any race or gender. And lets put things in perspective: Many are suffering horribly. If you are so far removed to complain about racism and award shows while people in Flint,Mi don't even have fresh water to drink from and bathe in, you're simply a lost lonely pathetic individual. Mark my words, the people who will make the money off from the Flint Mi water tragedy are people like Michael Moore. I know this person. I live not three miles from him. I knew him as a child through my aunt. And he is a spin doctor. It is no different than very rich, very famous people, using kickstarter or gofundme to raise money for entertainment purposes. Receive the accolades and the profits but give nothing back to the people who donated when they have the money to do this themselves. I bet if you believed in yourself and what you are doing enough, you'd invest in yourself. Mel Gibson put forth the money for the Passion of the Christ. Yes, Mel is insane, but without that belief we would not have that movie, so be grateful for Mel Gibson. And because of this. Himself and his fellow workers have profited over two thirds of a billion dollars. So why complain when you live in a country that provides you with the blessings that no other place can do. When life doesn't go your way, have some grace
especially when your life goes on just the same, and especially when it is all sun shine and rainbows. As far as me, yes, I am still fighting for my life and suffering horribly. People can be downright evil and wicked. I have an anecdote about Facebook. Over a year ago, I had become friends with s person in Facebook. Eventually I saw the audacity and arrogance of this person. Having several Facebook pages, he put out and tagged all of his friends this statement. If you do not like and share my posts I will unfriend you. To make a long story short, he also asked everyone not to tag him in posts. I did. Along with all of my facebook friends stating i was thankful for them being my friends. He unfriended me then DMd me saying now you can look in at my page, but not make the mistake of tagging me, which, of course, we know you can still do. So I unfriended him. He blocked me. Then started sending horrific messages from his other accounts. Along with sending them to my wife. My wife had to find all his accounts so we could block him, he created more to send harassing messages. Unfortunately when you block somebody on Facebook, you can not copy and paste their messages. Normally I would let this go, but he threatened my wife physically. So I got my lawyers' involved. Besides the fact that this man, at the time, was fifty, I am still surprised at the audacity and ruthlessness of people. The selfishness. Normally I would not state something like this, but enough Tim be had passed and I'm just I'm that mood.
people who follow and unfollow on Twitter within one day, people who won't give you one hour before they expect a follow back. Would you do this in a business meeting, or on the phone or face to face. Of course not. We expect ridiculous expectations from others but not from ourselves. I see the world and it is ugly. And people are cruel. And in most cases, if you speak up for yourself, you are persecuted. And the persecutor becomes a martyr and a victim. My point, stop complaining about what is it of your control and gas no effect on you. But feel free to state your opinion righteously. Have grace when dealing with issues. But know the difference if it is a real issue or just an issue with you and your perspective and interpretation. And appreciate your blessings and pass them around. You did not achieve anything on your own. And if you believe that, then leave the country. I'm quite sure that a life in Guatemala will not receive you the same blessings as a life in America.

Sincerely,
Your friend

a bit of rant, a bit of brag

since I met my husband it's been an exciting ride of joy, fear of losing him( when her became ill), excitement for the projects we have been working if together, pride at the intensity of his heart and generosity of time and resources, and daily amazement and blessing at having been chosen by him. Needless to say, I am blessed to have been given the gift of my husband. He is truly, as they say, one of the good ones, if not THE good one. Every day I watch him wake up and face what are impossible odds of survival, and not only confront them, knowing that until his duties and treatment after completed, her I'd going to feel beyond horrible, but defeat them with his positivity, joy, drive to help and his love for others including myself. Each day, for example yesterday, he drives himself to push through this fifth battle with cancer and got himself up to go for a beautiful drive with me, love on our cats, close a purchase of a house he found to open a shelter for the homeless, and still record a video to our family and close friends about how he is doing, and speaking candidly about his fight and his love for them and for all of you. I look at this list, and can't help thinking how many of us accomplished as much today? Then I take into account the struggles with his health that I see first hand and think how is it possible; how is it physically possible for him to have done this much?
last night there was a show on called kocktails with khloe and frankly it made me sick to my stomach. This show is basically friends getting together, getting drunk and playing games. Is this how our world wants to play out truly? Twitter was alight with demands of canceling the show because of the nature of our, but I think about something specifically that was stated. One of the girls said of Khloe that there is no one more forgiving or generous. And then I look at my husband. You wasted how much time shooting this obscene display of luxury when people are suffering on this world? And then there's my husband who, without treatment will fire, who devoted every moment of his day to someone other than himself. I am so proud of him, but so sickened that this is the world we live in and that there aren't more like him in the world. He inspires me to stay righteous, to be righteous. While others live in luxury with apartments who's monthly rent is more than most peoples' annual salary, while there are 18 vacant foreclosed homes for every homeless person in America's and we are watching drinking games as entertainment. So I ask you. Where are the Joshuas? Where are the pure hearted and giving of spirit? I am saddened by what I see of the world, but seeing my husband find hope for a change.
