The Story Of Joshua~ The Tragedy of Inhumanity

I remember my car accident.  Prior to this I had been diagnosed with cancer at the age of 21.  I was on an incredible amount of medication.  For anybody who knows just a small amount about medicine, I will give you just two of my medications used to control the pain I was dealing with, and this is not just from cancer, this is from a multitude of diagnoses.  And before I tell you, this is minute compared to what I have been on and what I've been through in my life especially what I am going through now, but that is another story for another day.  I took three two hundred milligram pills of MSContin daily, with 5 30mg breakthrough pills, taken when needed. And 5mg of Xanax.  Which again, pales in comparison to the kind of medicine, the amount, meaning the variety, and the dose/dosages that I had been on around the age of 30.

At 25 years old I had just got done touring the US.  Being funded by a major record label, I had every endorsement that there was.  I came home to visit my family for the Fourth of July.  I had a Suburban.  I was doing about 62 miles per hour.  At this time, I was 6'4", I weighed 275lbs, yet my waist was 33'' around.  As I had learned to push through as much pain as possible, as I believed these medications were temporary.  The opposing traffic, one car was coming at me, another car tried to pass, leaving me no where to go but off the road. As I give you a fact, the shoulder of the road, according to Federal and State law, from the edge of the pavement, must be a minimum of 8' to a maximum of 12' of gravel.  From there, any existing structure, such as a house or even a tree, must be an additional 15' away. This applies to residential areas.  As I tried to ride the shoulder, I could not because there was only 4' of gravel and then a 12' down tornado ditch causing me to hit a tree head on.  Though I was wearing my seat belt, it did nothing.  As I had hit with such force that my sternum had hit the center of the steering wheel and cracked it completely in half.  A shit hole hell mouth of a county I was in.  As the seatbelt had wrapped itself around the steering wheel, the door sprung open.  I was thrown from my vehicle 20'.  I remember looking up and seeing gas dripping as I tried to crawl.  A couple people had heard this as where I had gotten in my accident was close to a beach resort.  I remember asking the lady who was attending to me, "Did my teeth go through my lip?"  As she was crying she says, "Yes."  No I did not pass out.  I did not get knocked out.  As her husband had called the EMTs, as this was found out later for I had no idea what was going on at the time, just bits and pieces.  One of the EMTs as I was in the ambulance had asked me for my information; as I was starting to go into shock, I could not speak.  He had said, "We can not help you if we do not know who you are."  I had forced out the information he needed and then asked for something for my pain. As he told me he would give me.  He said, "Oh we don't give people medicine for pain unless a leg is wrapped around their head.  A couple weeks prior to this I had been taken off my medication through to the ignorance of this doctor I was taken off cold turkey.  Which is probably why I was not able to react as well as I normally would have.  This is what you call withdrawal.  For being on these and many other medications for two years, as I fought my second bought of cancer.  This is how long I had to fight for.  As I was taken into the hospital, they sewed up my lip.  Which there is no existing scar, so to their credit they did one thing right.  I asked the doctor to please give me some medicine for my pain.  He turned around and walked away.  As I stood up to go after him, I had fell to the floor from a broken hip.  He turned and looked and kept walking as I had to force myself back up on the table. I was then taken in a wheelchair to have one test. An X-ray of my head.  I had passed out on the Xray table, waking up to two lady nurses laughing.  I asked, "Did I pass out?" They smiled and said, "Yes."  I was taken into a room and left,

As the speed limit was 55 I was doing 7 over.  I had a warrant put out for my arrest because of wreckless endangerment.  Yes, I almost went to jail at this time.  The county I was in, or rather where the hospital it was in, was not the county that the accident happened in.  Though this seemed to be used to intimidate me by the hospital, nothing had happened with the law as of this time.  I was treated with nothing but anger and contempt.  The last time I had been in this hospital was when I went into a coma for a month.  But that is another story for another time.Though I would love to share this, in the order that each of these occurrences had happened, I have already spent years in illness writing a screenplay, which yes, the movie that is coming out is about my life. It is hard for me to revisit.  When I was in remission at 34 when I met my wife, all of the pain inside my heart was gone. Though I was still struggling, where I was only about 35%, I was determined I was going to get to 100%, and I believed in my healing, as I always have, but I don't know about it anymore.  But as I have gotten extremely sick again, with no medical treatment again, this is very difficult to revisit.

Talking about suffering when you are suffering is almost impossible.  So back to the car accident.  Though I will not go into great detail, it is too exhausting.  It is too painful.  And of course, every detail of what had happened has already been written in a screenplay.  The hospital would not give me medicine because my existing doctor, oncologist/pain specialist said no.  Though at the time of my car accident, the hospital told me that she had dismissed me from her care, or as I would state lack there of.  Which of course is against the law and beyond inhumane.  As I could barely move, severely dehydrated, and yes, I was still battling cancer, I was not even given a sip of water.  I had never seen anybody, regarding the nurse and doctor, look at me with such judgment and hatred, though a lesser man would have died. I found the strength to reach over and use the phone.  Though I could not dial out.  The hospital I was taken to was not the hospital I would have chosen, but it was the closest one.  So simply, nobody was doing their job, they were just saving face..  I hit the nurse call button and she had to dial for me.  I asked my parents, to please come pick me up and take me to another hospital which was only 20 minutes away.  I was greeted with this, "Deal with it, be a man."  As I informed my parents of what was happening, I then got the explanation of why they wouldn't.  They had said, "Remember that time your father was in the hospital when you were on tour and you didn't come see him, (which by the way never happened.)  Since you did not come see him, we will not come see you."  Though my parents had an incredible amount of money and influence, especially with this hospital, giving an incredible amount of money through donations since they were a private hospital but it mattered none.  I managed to get 20 minutes of sleep if that's what you could call it.  As I woke, I had a young nurse come in and ask me if I wanted a sponge bath. I had said, "Are you fucking kidding me?" Obviously I had seen that she was not aware of what was happening, I apologized and asked for something to drink.  I was brought back a glass of water, and the most horrible tasting coffee that has ever existed. As I sat up to drink the coffee, my body locked, at that moment the doctor had walked in.  Minutes later my father had walked in.  I asked the doctor please help me.  He said, "You are just fine, you just sat up."  Apparently that is the universal language in medicine that you are okay.  I had called the doctor a myriad of names.  Nothing happened.  It had taken four men and two ladies to lift me into a wheelchair as they dismissed me from the hospital.  As I was lifted into my father's truck, a few minutes on the way back to my parents' home where there were around 200 people camping, as well as me, in their back yard.  I sneezed, feeling as if I had broken every bone in my body.  My shoulder blades were touching the back of my head, specifically my occipital region finding out later that my spine had been compressed and crushed, causing me to lose over an inch of height, though because of other problems, specifically hormonal, my body was still growing.  Though I gained back some of my height, my spine was fused together, and over the years my vertebrae had grown to a point between my shoulder blades almost two inches that, obviously, if I had been taken care of, would have allowed me to grow taller and of course feel better, but instead it pushes on my muscles, my ligaments, my tendons, creating an extreme amount of pain.

As I must remind you, I had gotten my degree in medicine. I was a licensed anesthesiologist.  And had gotten my degree in only three years of schooling.  Not only through my own experiences, and how we all know our own body, I knew through education what was going on.  As I had called my doctor, once I went back to my parent's home she had told me that she had dismissed me and to take a couple Tylenol.  As I laid in a tent, as my family and so called friends, continued to party.  I was left for dead. For three weeks, as I could barely move, and I was hallucinating in the most pain I have ever felt in my entire life. I had not eaten or drank one sip of water.  And I had not slept a second.  Two days after my car accident, my mother came up to the tent and asked me if I wanted to go to a movie.  I could not believe what I was hearing.  I had begged for them to take me back up to the hospital.  They did not.  As I had a preexisting script for a non-narcotic drug called Ultram.  Though only 10 pills, 50 mg each, my father had asked me for them.  And then simply taken them.  Three weeks. To where I started throwing up blood.  Finally, I was taken into the hospital.  This is what was wrong.  My cancer had come back full force because of the dropping of my immune system.  I had a blood clot in my stomach.  I had cerebral edema (swelling of the brain.)  I had 18 broken bones.  7 dislocations, several slipped discs, severely dehydrated, malnurished, sleep deprived, I could go on, but there's really no point.  I was sent home with minimal treatment.  But it was enough to get me back on my feet.  As I finally made it into the chiropractor.  After that, the pain, though horrible, was not close to the fact that my body would not stop withdrawing, finding out later that I had several autoimmune disorders/diseases that did not allow my body to produce natural chemicals, such as testosterone, dopamine, endorphins, growth hormone, etc throughout the years my  body would shoot out massive doses of these things having massive growth spurts.  And I must say when you go through something, during the time you are fighting for your life, but when I started to get better through medical care, I realized I had no idea what was going on, and I chose fight.

Politics and Religion/ God Hear Me

As I watch television shows occasionally, check certain people's twitter pages, they hide behind the cloak of pursuing a better tomorrow by complaining.  It is natural to complain, but complaint without action is irresponsibility. Trying to lead others through belittlement, accusations and judgment, this does nothing to unite.  I find myself listening to Democrats and Republicans complaining about how the other reacts.  To me this seems as if I am back in junior high.  This changes nothing. This does not give hope. Simply speaking, they talk and talk and talk yet nothing is resolved.

It is quite bothersome to me that the mass media using politicians to complain about.  Yet, none of these people hold themselves accountable for the fact that they are speaking for all of us.  For each political party one talk show host constantly degrades another, this is not my definition of a party. A whole world of right fighters, but not righteous fighters. What happened to the term agree to disagree.  If you are wanting for someone to agree with you, with every thought, with every wor you will surely be disappointed.  But to understand that we are more alike than we are different.  To come together can create a result that is better for everyone.  Nobody has it all right, and nobody has it all wrong. Honestly this is something that I could talk about for days.  But I change nothing by complaining.  But if I can honestly then there's a start. We have to start somewhere. Great men, come from humble beginnings.  Unfortunately this does not seem to apply. Not anymore. The most respected were called self made men. But even if you are a self made man, there is always someone that has been in your corner.

As far as religion, I can not watch anything anymore on television It is too personal.  The judgment that is passed is unbelievable. And as they are preaching about not judging, they are judging .I used to watch some of these who as preachers that would call themselves profits, that would simply point out the prophecies that were already prophesied in the bible. No, that would be called an interpreter.  Certain men, saying that if you pray and believe, well the world is rainbows, sunshine and candy canes. Well it's not. If it were, then why would Jesus have to sacrifice his life for us? A saying that is quite old, if wishes were fishes, we'd all have  bunch.  If only. Whether you believe or not, If you ever look through the bible, take it in context. I've heard preachers state absurdities, one in particular who reaches 6 billion + people a week, referring to one story in the bible, a man that Jesus healed.  The story goes that the man had to go to the nearby water and he would be healed.  He was blind, paralyzed and mute.  It took the man 30 years to do so and he was instantly healed.  The preacher says well if that were me, I would have done whatever I had to, including wriggle to the water. I had lost all respect for this person.

How do you know what you would do, if you have never gone through it.  Basically saying, that I am better than this man in the bible in all ways, that I am stronger and have more conviction.  Looking past the obvious, he could not ask for help.  He could not walk, he could not see. Already suffering a lifetime, imagine the confusion in this man's heart.  The elation, the fear, most likely the doubt.  Probably thinking to himself, why can't I just be healed? Haven't I suffered enough? As the man was probably feeling inside I was born this way. As the confusion sets in.  Yet nothing was said by the preacher about the people who had heard what Jesus said, and didn't pick him up and carry him.  In the bible Jesus said you will learn more from your sufferings than your blessings. Living through my torment, I understand.  It is very confusing.  It is contradicting to the bible itself. To the Word of God.  Many days I want to get up and play my guitar.  I miss exercising, watching a movie, holding my wife.  The last time I attempted some of these things, I ended up in a coma.  It becomes very confusing and it wears you down, as obviously the result of this is not making anything better, it is just making it worse.  But through my sufferings I know myself.

If Jesus walked up to me today and said if you walk a hundred miles, you will immediately be healed and your youth would be restored.  As it clearly states in the bible, when you are healed your youth is restored.  Speaking through common sense, this obviously means your physical health, mental, emotional, and spiritual well being.  It is not saying that you will turn back into a 12 year old, which who the hell would want that anyway?  But I can guarantee you this, I would walk those hundred miles.  As everything happens, or rather nothing happens out of God's will, many people turn away.  Where is God?  Many people suffer for a purpose greater than their own.  We were put here to enjoy this life, this beautiful world.  Maybe God is trying to tell us that He needs us as much as we need Him, and that we need each other just the same.  We will never understand why God does what He does, and many times that is beyond difficult.  Try explaining to a puppy how a television works.  It's just not going to happen.

I know about many things.  I am very humble. I know who I was in my health, and I also know who I am in my sickness. I know how my sickness has affected me in all ways.  More than just physically, but my mental state, my spiritual state.  It is all so confusing. Yet, when I was in remission the world seemed so easy.  I had lost all fear. But again, I became ill and more so than I have ever been.  I know why I believe but many times as of the last year I have found myself wondering why I don't believe.   I don't understand.  I don't understand God.  But in that lack of understanding, and my personal relationship with God, I have been given a greater understanding of everything else.  Again, very confusing.  When we struggle if we can see an outcome that is great, even just slightly better, we push. We hope. When we do all of these things and the outcome becomes worse, it is natural to shut down.  And people will take advantage of that and push you beyond your limits by taking advantage of your strength and faith, ultimately coming down to your heart and yet God is nowhere. I can not believe He is keeping me here to suffer and then die.  And then I think about myself.  I think about the pain that I have caused mainly through my sickness, but the people that I could have helped, but may never have the chance.  I know many of us feel this way.  A lot of times we just don't give it thought.

It's odd that none of it makes sense, but it makes complete sense.  When I look at the bible, there are so many things I think of.  How it just does not seem to apply to my life. How the torments that I have went through, how they affect others, my wife in particular.  Though I don't believe anyone has given me much of this thought.  I am talking about the people that are in my life daily, personally.  I also look at the bible and I try to find the truth.  And I must end with this, again, whether you believe or don't believe. I find it amazing that they nailed human nature down perfectly. And if it is not true, they are the greatest story tellers and manipulators of all time, spending, or rather wasting their time trying to comfort others.  Since when have you seen a group of people do that for anyone in your lifetime? As many have stated and I believe for myself, I was an angel that was put on this earth to endure, to see what man went through. Whether that's true or not, that's not the point, as I was speaking to a lovely lady on Twitter, she replied to something I had sent, just as a general tweet. And I will paraphrase, as the bible specifically says this, beware of how you treat others for daily we cross the paths of angels without ever knowing.  And as I believe this to be literal, it can also be a metaphor for the fact that you are someone's angel.  So remember both of these things. For the literal understanding that I do have, allows me to love without prejudice.

As I am waiting for my healing, as I have been crying out for it, the last time I became very ill, I never thought I could get anything back. I was in fear that my relationship with God that we had built together through my suffering would disappear, but it did not. It became stronger. Everything made sense.  I was thankful for my suffering. I had prayed, proclaimed, my healing and almost overnight the sickness had dissappated from my body.  Though it was still a struggle, the day by day journey, I held steadfast. This was supposed to be my time. Since I went out of remission, five years have passed.  I can not explain what I have been through and what I am going through.  It can not be understood.  No man can relate. I am alone in this. I have never subscribed to God gives 50% and we give 50%. I've always believed that God gives 100% and we give 100%.  Yet, as of now, the pain I am enduring is so unbearable, for the first time in my life I have found myself questioning God, asking Him why have you forsaken me?  And though physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually I can not take much more, as I have surpassed the "more than you can handle" I still find myself believing.  It's all I have. So as Jesus stated, you will learn more through your sufferings than through your blessings, can a man reach divinity through this? I hope this to be true. For I could not imagine that this is all my life will be. Why was I put here in the first place? As I long to help others, I still want and need for myself.  For my wife. I have lived my life righteously.  I have lived my life without shame.  I have embraced my mistakes and my regret so I could grow. I must be worth something to my Creator.  For I don't believe a man has loved God, more than I ever have.  And I would like to be healed as I was promised by God Himself.  Holding steadfast in your faith and believing in God, loving Him unconditionally, as nothing happens out of His will, that means nothing good or bad, As God is divine and He is my Creator, I must believe that I am as well. For all of you who are suffering, we must hold steadfast together.  That is one of the many reasons we are here. I will not allow myself to die.  I have too much to do, and too much love to give. I must share my life with my wife.  We must share it together. It is our life. I know God hears my prayers.  Sometimes I feel He does not hear my cries. Who knows. Maybe He reads my blog.

Funny Food For Thought 56

I find it curious when I turn on the Oldies station and I hear the song Toxic from Britney Spears. What a golden oldie. Song's not bad either.

Joshua's Joys

A song that Joshua had recorded for his new album. The song is called Maleguena. He was inspired by the late Roy Clark's version. Part of the song is done accoustically by himself, as he would do in concert.  The rest of the song is done through an electric guitar as the band kicks is. Adding in background singers.  The interesting part of all of this is that it was all done in one take, with no overdubbing.  As Joshua and his band do their best to record as if they were playing live.  So that nothing needs to be added or taken away when seen in concert. It will be quite a treat to hear as we at the GSET team just recieved a copy of his double disc cd.  Here's Roy Clark's version, though just one of many as he has played them in many different ways on many different guitars. Please listen to the brilliance of Roy Clark, one of the greatest guitarists ever as he is performing on the tv show The Odd Couple.

Funny Food For Thought 55

Someone please help. No I'm not referring to my health, I am referring to my cable provider. I would really like someone to respond. I have come up with only two explanations to what I am about to tell you. One, we are so in tune with each other that what I'm about to tell you, well this could be one of the options.  Or Two, Which is more likely, my cable provider has bugged my house. So now getting to why, rather what this is all about. Every time I will mention a movie, within a minute to a day that movie appears on my television screen. Now yes, you could say Joshua, think about it, there are a multitude of channels, so the probability of a movie showing up that you just spoke of could happen, well I say bullshit. Yes, if it happens once, twice, coincidence. If it happens fifty times, we are all in tune with each other. But if it happens every time, they're bugging my house. But apparently I have delusions of grandeur that the cable company would put on a movie that I have not seen in a while just because I mentioned it. Wow this has went on a lot longer, I suppose this would be called a few meals for thought. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but think about this jewel of brilliance. Is it a conspiracy if it's true?

Funny-Food For Thought 54

Everybody is so easily offended. I have found as of recent, even inanimate objects are. As I was watching the movie The Internship, which by the way is a great movie for how we should come together and have a little fun, yeah yeah, I turned away for a moment to talk with my wife. The pixelation on my television went all screwy and haywire. As I'm turning back and forth, clarity, messed up pixelation, clarity, messed up pixelation.  WHATEVER. Needy bitch. Like OMG!

Funny-Food For Thought~ 53

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.  WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN???
Actually, I know what it means.  Many times we understand the meaning without knowing the actual definition.  But if we have to look up the definition, doesn't the meaning get lost?

Funny Food For Thought 52~Who the Heck is Joshua and Who the Heck does he think he is?

As many people read my blog, through many different emotions, I have a great understanding of human nature. I have had much time to learn about it.  Some people are inspired. Some are offended. Some laugh. Some cry.  Some it may cause to love. Others it may cause to hate. But I know, very well, that people sit there and say, Who IS this guy? I don't know him.  Who does he think he is??  The all knowing all mighty Joshua?  My reply to that is yes I am.  My cape is on the way.  No actually, in all seriousness, I'm a man.  And no matter what emotion you feel, you are still reading this page. That is the point of this page. Whatever you think about it, whatever you feel, the cause is to make you think, the effect is to make you feel. You will go through a myriad of emotions from one event that happened in your day.  The larger the quest, the more the emotions.  But eventually you will find your way.  For it is a process that must not be ignored, but embraced.  I did not say I am just a man, I am a just man.  I suppose the reason I am stating this is more than just the obvious, that some of you reading this were actually thinking this.  But my point is, to look through that emotion.  To get to the point before a bad thought even enters your mind, it passes straight through.  How can that be done?  Well that is for you to find out, but I promise you it can be.  Each man has a quest, and obviously I am talking about women as well.  It is just the way I speak.  What I have to say is very important, but understand that what you have to say is just as important because our words stem from the spirit, but our actions are a choice/ decision that correlates from our thoughts, through our words, into the divine interaction.  So to answer the question who does this guy think he is?  I don't think anything, I just know, and when you know that about yourself, you will never ask that question of anyone again.

Joshua's Joys

As I have been through so much in my life, striving to learn, grow. Better myself and this world.  I have been held back by extreme sickness. I have had my blessings as well. Though I could not take full advantage of them because I have been ill for so long, they are now overlooked. As I have gotten so close to reaching my dreams and goals, just before my health had been stripped them away again. After being an athlete, becoming a doctor, finally getting into music. Something had resonated throughout my entire body.

I have often stated that there are only two absolutes in this world, that is math and music.  Though my confusion with God about my own personal life affects me greatly, it still does not blind me of what God is about. Every great idea that a man has had was placed on his heart by God. Though, as that is the case with me as well, we still have to work. As many people are lacking in faith because of how we feel that we are, we don't understand that we are living it everyday without seeing, without feeling.

We push so hard to reach our dreams and goals, and we simply have faith that they will happen.  We get knocked down and we get back up. I think of the bible and I correlate it with a movie trailer.  As we go through verses, that we specifically use for our own benefit.  A movie trailer that gets us excited as we long to watch this new upcoming film. Yet so much can be missed as the movie trailer is manipulated for each and everyone of us, specifically to draw our attention.  Yet the message will get lost if we do not take the time to watch the movie and understand. Which is the same result if we do not read the connecting stories and pages of the bible.

God gives us what we need in our hearts to succeed. People get in the way of that. We get in the way of that.  It is clear that God uses what He has created; for God got down on His knees, used His hands to help plant the Garden of Eden.  As He would walk through the Garden in the evening as He enjoyed and loved feeling the breeze flow across His face.  Mathematics is the key to the universe.  It is one of God's languages, as He is fluent in all of them, because He created them.

Music is the other.  My opinion of music today is that it is horrible.  A repetitious beat, with repetitious lyrics. There are no chord changes, phrasings, beginning, middle, end.  There are no modulations, no legato.  There are no hooks or bridges.  No chorus.  But more importantly no heart, and no soul.  For it has been overpowered as an avenue to become famous.  But if you are not a musician, and I do not subscribe to the word artist, if you do not live through your music, and do not allow others to do so as well; fame will be overshadowed by infamy, and that is not something that you want for yourself.  Personally, it's like listening to a reggae song, they all sound the same.  Obviously, not all reggae, but it's the example that I'm using as of this time and I have a great sense of humor... so laugh! And apparently I am very bossy. Though there are musicians out there that understand what music is; it is a passion, it is a being, it lives and it breathes. But these musicians are overlooked for the quick buck and the sad story and promiscuous outfits.  The gimmick, the image is what's important in the world of music today.

Music is truly healing.  As the world becomes worse, we don't correlate for some reason that our music has gotten worse.  People who just throw a song out there to be heard, so that someone else can give them an opportunity, when they should be taking the power back. For instance, with my first record deal, I was the commodity.  I didn't work for them, they worked for me.  I understood this, as I had turned down several record deals, as I knew something was missing within myself.  Simply I did not feel ready.  Unfortunately, I became ill again, but, that is when I had realized what was missing.  My self worth.  I worked out my own deal.  I reserved, as I pushed to own my masters.  Yet, few have heard me. Again, unless you have heard me play live, exactly what I can do through my music.  I know who I am. How I wait and long for my album to be released so I can be heard and will not have to explain anymore.  But also I long because it will give me the opportunity to give others opportunities.

I have had many ideas for many years. Striving, pushing.  In the music industry you can not send in unsolicited material.  It is ridiculous. I have spent my time creating an opportunity to others to submit their music.  I don't need a professionally done, produced cd.  I can hear it in a simple tape recording.  My health has affected the progress of this, is bothersome to the fact that I can not show my own gifts and talents, but that I can not help others to do the same.  Music has become a factory of computers, and it has been lost within the major record labels.

So getting to my point.  To the absolute that music is; a gift given to us by God is over looked by the title rockstar. Celebrity.  For the angels sang and danced, giving glory, praising the Lord for there was a secret chord that David played that pleased the Lord.  (on a sidenote: I have studied the bible long and hard as well as music.  And in my heart, in my spirit, I have found this chord.  It is literal and metaphorical.  When you find it, you are ready.  Yet I will not tell you the answer.  For the gift will not be appreciated if it is handed to you.  For the joy of Christmas morning eventually becomes lost.)  Music always is and always was.  It was intended to bring passion and joy, and of course love. It was a way to share a part of our soul in a few small minutes. Being able to say more and help more than we could ever do through words alone.  It is a form of an action.  Since celebrity, music and movies have taken over the world.  Well, there's nothing you can do about that.  But what we can do is change it, to the way God intended it to be. And the way we all want it.

We crave our fame so that we can finally be free to truly be ourselves, yet it never works out that way.  We must hold steadfast, believe in ourselves and hope this.  Athletics, music, two of my many joys in this world.  At the same time is so frustrating as I can barely sing a note any longer.  All of these wonderful avenues of media/social media have opened up the world for us.  And we have yet to understand that we are the ones that have the power. We determine what we say, how we act.  In today's world there's no need to be sycophantic.  To admire title.  We have a means.  We have a way to build a business that we never have had before.  A way to make people laugh. To share our beautiful hearts, our wonderful ideas.  Our voice. Through these avenues we have the ability to be better than we ever have. Without having to rely on the man, or the powers that be to determine if we are successful or not.

Though that is subject as we determine our own success.  I love music. It is the truest form, the purest way to share your heart with someone else.  For the musicians and the movie makers, I hope you understand that the hearts you are touching, the souls you are healing, the inspiration you are creating is what all of this is about.  Do not look down upon others.  There's enough room at the top for everyone.  The person on the top right now needs to remember that there is someone on their way up that mountain.  You can either extend a hand to help them or you can turn your back reveling in your own glory. Eventually that person will make it to the top.  And as you had no room for them, they will have no room for you, and that is a viciously dangerous cycle.  Music is a revelation, it is a prophecy.  It is the only thing available today that we all can join together in and enjoy.  I love movies as well, but they only can be watched so many times. Yet billions of people a day will listen to the exact same song every day for decades.  A power like that could have only been created by God. So embrace it.  But no matter what you do, what your passions are, how all you think, your job where your life is, yet isn't.  There is a purpose. There is always a purpose.  And if you use your voice with conviction and love, the world will hear you.  Sometimes as musicians, we get tired with playing the same old tune.  The same verses. Remember though, someone is hearing this for the first time.  And no matter who your inspiration is musically, that one note, that one verse, could inspire the ten year old boy or girl to be the next Stevie Ray Vaughan, and of course I must add the next Joshua Jet Vaughan. damn you laugh!

As I would like to go in more detail into other things, I am beginning to trail off as I am hungry and tired.  I simply wanted to share with you some of my joys.  I try not to speak when I am having a hard time doing so, most that I say I don't think, it just comes out.  When I find myself struggling and having to think, it is time to stop.  Another reason why I love music so much because the same applies when creating a song.  But every day that someone helps us, it allows us to feel, how I miss laughing so much, but occasionally I will see, hear something that lifts me up.  We touch people in so many ways, but unless it is seen or heard by the masses, we overlook it. What we are failing to realize is that it might take time, because it always does, but eventually you will be heard.

It's been 2000 years since the bible has been written.  Yet, we're still reading it.  I have patience and grace.  Embrace your joys.  It has been 20 years since I had picked up the guitar.  But through my illness, mainly through touring, would really add up to about five that I have actually played.   But I have learned so much more, by taking the time, or rather being forced to take the time, to look back in retrospect.  This is what we must do.  We must do it for ourselves and for others. but again, this is another wonderful thing about music, as I listen to a song, it takes me back to the time when I first heard it, or the experience that I was having during that time.  And that is the only thing on this planet that can do that.  Whether you believe or not, that is divine.

~Joshua Jet Vaughan~

Post Script~ Most of us despise mathematics. But if you go beyond that, there are many answers.  Through mathematics we live in a world of theories. Theories are relevant, they are poignant.  And theoretically they are an answer. So a simple statistic for you, as I often say there is enough room at the top.  In my music and movie endeavors I have been to many studio lots.  I have learned that most industry that runs this world comes down to 7 people.  Yes the fate of the planet in the hands of 7 people with so much money and power they can do nothing but want more.  Back to my statistic, one of the major movie studio lots that I had visited is so large that you could take every person on this planet, put them side by side, back to back, and they would fit in that one studio lot.  Think about that.

Just before I turned 35 I had recorded my version of the song Hallelujah.  Though I am very humble, at that time I had an understanding and security about myself; a confidence, a conviction.  So, as I usually talk about my sickness and try to bring attention to what is right in this world and what we need to do, for one time I would like to say something about myself in a positive manner. After three and a half years of not singing or playing, I finally started to do so again as I went in remission.  When I had heard myself back on a recording, though I already knew, I had realized I had the most powerful voice that has ever existed. I had the most natural rasp.  I never missed a note.  And though what you will hear of me before my album, what you will hear of me on Youtube, is a horrible example of this, my album will show it.  I had taken my guitar to an entire new level that has never been heard.  No one has heard a voice like mine. Guitar playing like mine.  The way that I create music. Yet, I have used the influences and inspirations of others as I layed in my sickness thinking about what I wanted to sound like, what I wanted to convey through my music.  It's as if God had restored what I had lost, but 10,000 times better. So with a bass, drums, piano, and me on guitar and lead vocals, as my wife would accompany me, the version of the song Hallelujah will be the most powerful version that will ever exist.  As with many of the songs that will be on my album.  I would have wanted my album to come out first, and then said nothing; I feel the need to say this because it is partially therapeutic for myself.  As I had stated in another post, the last time I tried to sing and play I was in a coma for a week as my body collapsed.  So please do not think that I am bragging or arrogant.  Just let me have this one thing.  If you believe that what I am telling you is true, I promise not to say it again.  If today you are in a serious mood, I want you to remember, that I am laughing right now.  Not like a bumbling fool, but just a little snicker.  With everyone else, as they are serving their purpose, travelling the path as they are walking their journey, just as I had realized, that I had a long way to go, any years ago that also allowed me to understand how far I had come.  You must believe in yourself.  You must understand that what you are lacking in, so that you can achieve what you are working so hard for.  Though we may not understand the specifics of what we are lacking in, we know something is missing.  I believe for each and every one of you that this day will come to pass.  The person that refines themselves, their work, never resting in their laurels or bathing in arrogance, that you believe that you are great and beautiful.  And whether you are a mechanic, a comedian, etc, you will reach that goal.  And if you do so the right way, and God forbid any sickness comes about you pushing you off that path.  Embrace your confidence and conviction.  But stomp out any arrogance.  If you do this, you will succeed. No matter what your path is, it is yours to share with others.  I must believe our purpose in this world, is one in the same.  If you understand this, then it is your time to walk tall.  If you don't, your time will come.  Believe in yourself as I believe in you.  God Bless, I love you all.

Posts from Joshua

We at the GSET team feel we must take the time to give notice to our founder Joshua Jet Vaughan. As we have stated before, the mission of this page, we would like to explain something about Joshua in more detail. First, we must remember that this man is very ill, as he is not ashamed to state the fact that it affects him mentally, emotionally, spiritually and of course, physically. With that being said, Joshua is an example.  A righteous example.  Whether you are suffering or not, we all have a variety of moods. Our ups and downs. Our good days and our bad. Which is why we do not want to censor. When you listen to posts from Joshua or others, please do so with an open mind, but more importantly with an open heart. We must open up and face our struggles, and share them.

When we are living in pain, it is the most important time to do exactly this. We must not feel embarrassed, we must not feel shame or less than.  We can learn from other people's emotions. What they have to say at a specific time because of what they are dealing with in their own life. Throwing away the curtain that separates us.  Revealing the pain and the joys in every individual. As we have recently talked with Joshua, he has allowed us to take the freedom to speak about anything and everything, even addressing his life and his opinions. As the twelve of us on this team know him personally, we have seen the decline in his health.  It has been quite dramatic as well as traumatic.  We ask you to please not misinterpret.

As of yesterday, Joshua had stated he wants everyone to feel  free to express their emotions that our hearts are always the same, but our emotions are so fragile and in order to have a cause and effect, a resolution, we must open up and reveal ourselves.  When we do this, we truly are opening our hearts.  We must learn from each other, but to do so we must look within ourselves and learn about ourselves first. Lastly, even in Joshua's sickness, there's always a purpose in what he says and does. He does not expect it to be understood or come to fruition overnight.  As each story, each statement will come together. He understands it may take years. But knows that it is worth it. He understands we must have patience and grace.  From movies to music, to great reads, down to the bible, we must patiently go through to understand, to not take out of context, as we promise you, everything will come together. Joshua often states that we never forget what is important to us.  But does not understand how we can forget what is important to someone else.  Ultimately, that everyone is important.  Thank you and God Bless.

Funny Food For Thought 51

I've always wondered who they are. For example they say inventions always reflect their inventors. Apparently when they say it, you have finally made it. One last note, no one ever says I would like to thank they for this award. They is us.  Take your voice back.

When you influence through positivity, it's the one time your reach should exceed your grasp.

The people you hurt may never forget. The people you help may never forget.  How do you want to be remembered?

Sometimes the truth may hurt, but a lie is Always damaging.

Food For Thought 47

It takes less strength to hold someone up, than it does to pull them down.

~Joshua Jet Vaughan~

Food For Thought 46

Many think that the more time they give to others, the less time they'll have for themselves.  But the more time you give to others, the more time you'll have because they will give back.  The more you give to someone who needs, the less they need and the more they can give to someone else.  The end result is when you are selfless, there is no need to be selfish. If you look at it simply from your heart, if you are giving you are never needing for no one should ever have their basic human needs not met. That is the world we want to live in, and that is the world that we are going to live in.  You can either wait for the world to change or change it. (There are two songs we will post. Waiting for the World to Change and Change the World. Which song do you subscribe to?)

Support through Acceptance Without Exception

When I think about life, I many times use analogies, metaphors and parables. Sometimes it is very hard for people to get beyond their own thoughts, so they simply can open up their ears, which stems from the heart. So that they may listen and feel. Many people reach success. In today's world, it has become a necessity to be recognized. As fame has been overshadowed by infamy. We all want to be recognized, in fact we need it. And biblically speaking it is a part of life as God said to Abraham, for you will be famous amongst all the nations, knowing that this is of human nature.  Often I think how people get lost in the shuffle. As we have forgotten the smallest gestures that have helped us succeed.
When I think about this, it immediately takes me to the game of chess. Though just a game, what an incredible metaphor for life.  Starting from the pawns, to the king. Yet, one piece must always start, and in life, one person must always start the process.  No move can be made without another move to deflect and/or protect.  As people are willing to sacrifice in the smallest to largest ways. But in the opposition of chess where the goal is to win the game, counting on each and every piece to achieve success; in life the goal is not only to beat your opponent, but many times to use every person you can to do so. In chess, we simply pick the pieces back up and start over.  As it is known that without every piece on the board, ultimately there is no possibility of success. Yet, we pass this over hour by hour, day by day, year by year. As we look down upon people.

I always wonder what pain others are feeling and what brings joy to their life.  Going through a life full of illness and torture. I have truly reached deep inside for a greater understanding. As we are involved with ourself, we forget about others and then we pass judgment.  An example of this: if a man is trying to make a meeting, a career opportunity that will change his life, his family's life, on the way to receive an advancement, a promotion in his life, he stops at a gas station. The gas attendant pumps his gas, helps him to get to his opportunity faster, yet that man or woman is overlooked and never appreciated for the hard work they put in. This man has a small wage, yet could be providing for a family, struggling to succeed and reach their dreams and goals. Yet no credit is given to them because they are simply doing their job. And most of the time we look down upon these people. Yet this person that is helping you could be the next Martin Luther King Jr. or Albert Einstein or could end up being your best friend and supporter. Yet, how different it is and how the blame is twisted if your dreams and goals are not met because of your own irresponsibility.  Please stay with me here.

If the night before your tank runs on empty, causing you to rush the next morning.  As you pull into the gas station, you are not greeted. You pump your own gas, you tried to pay with your credit card, it doesn't work.  You go into the gas station itself to pay and there is a long line. you expect mountains to be moved because of your irresponsibility.  And as your opportunity passes, there are only two things that happen. You blame those people or you pity yourself.Taking responsibility, accepting responsibility.  You must do so for yourself, but also for others. Some people wake up with such extreme struggles and torment. We judge them for we feel that it is impossible for this to be happening without them causing it for themselves, so we assume the worst. Oh! The rose colored glasses that we see ourselves through.  We give no one the benefit of the doubt, and we bare false witness. Most people who live their life in health go through struggles of their own. Everyday, the importance of one individual outweighs the importance of the other and this happens billions of times every day. It is very easy to look within yourself and give others the credit that you'd do so for you.  But we choose to drown in our own bottomless pit. Most people spend their life wading. Yet, someone has already built a bridge for you, not to have to push through the water and muck with all the weight that is slowing you down.  Many times we take the bridge, but as we walk across it, we often burn it so that no one else can come across.  Every second of every day, it is the opportunity to set the perfect example for someone else.  But to do so, we must be a positive example for ourself.  We must support everyone. In my years on this earth, I have seen people come together for many different reasons. Yet, somehow they all end in tragedy for the need to be a part of something, whether good or bad, will be accepted and taken advantage of.  For in these instances, the cause seems to have no effect.

As I have layed in the hospital many a times, faced with death, but worse than that was mistreated and left for dead in horrible suffering.  I can not even remember the number of times I have been asked by a doctor, what would you like me to do, as my reply was simple. Please help. Please make me well. Through years of people hurting me, years of suffering, what no man should have to endure,  I have built up a strength.  Yet, that strength, no man should have.  If I were healthy, that strength would be worth something. It could be applied. As I have never been weak in my life, I have found that the stronger that I become, the less people want to help.  Again, I will use analogies to explain as I have done so for my family and for doctors.  Less than 50 years ago, people were enduring incredible sufferings. Finding strength to survive, yet the help was there. A hundred years ago a man could suffer a gunshot wound to his leg.  As part of my schooling, when I became a doctor (and though it has been years since I practiced) we had to learn the history of medicine.  Which by the way is derived and structured from Christianity.  Continuing, men would be bludgeoned over the head with a hammer or have to drink whiskey as their leg would be sawn off. It was expected for men to be tough. Some of them died. Some of them healed. Getting up everyday, working and helping, providing, supporting.  Til their body gave out yet suffering the whole time. Dying at the age of 35.

A person's strength now seems to be a sign of a lie. It is impossible, in the eyes of man, to believe that somebody could be dealing with something so horrific, but pick themselves up everyday and just do. I have seen people go into a hospital crying, screaming, which is a normal reaction to pain.  Coming down to something as simple as indigestion.  Yet, there comes a time in a man's life to be capable of enduring torture. They suck it up. They adapt. And as my body is riddled with cancer and every other disease possible, I many times am told that I am too large of a man, too well built, and too strong.  As I was told once that I can not be that sick because I was crossing my feet.  As I was recently in the hospital, my white cell count was 250,000, my red cell count was 2. I should not be alive.  But yet, here I am.  Though doctors refuse to do surgery, because of liability based upon the fact that I will in most likelihood die. Somehow the common sense and logic that I am a walking, talking miracle surpasses their common sense. Their humanity and the oath that they have taken.  It is not normal.  As I receive no peace. But yet my heart remains the same. As there are so many things I want to do.  but I cant. But what I can do, I do not try I just do.  I just take the action of doing. And with that I have a hard time keeping up.  I have lost many of my gifts, and I do not know if they can be fixed.  I look at the people along the way in my life, The people that are supposed to be the closest to me and I have had little or no support.  Yet, people that I have not physically met, some through social media have supported me more in one day than my family has done in their entire life.  Is it out of sight out of mind? Or is it that the people that do care and support do so because they love.  And they love without consequence.  It is just who they are. I surely did not have to go through these sufferings to be this way.  We are all born with the same heart and the same spirit. I believe there is a point in every person's life where they truly are in need.  And how easily that is passed over when the problem/problems become so great.that their life is turned into worthlessness.

People are worthy. When they are in need and want the help, please do not deem yourself worthy of helping, for it is easy to come to the rescue, please do not throw people away.  Many people state that they will die for someone, but will you live for someone?  When we are in great need, we often turn our back on those who need.  When they are not and we come back into their lives, we are leaving those people with a feeling of worthlessness. Whether people support me or not, I still support them. People have hurt me along the way.  Yes I am not infallible, it angers me that they keep living their life in blessings without realizing what they have done as most continue on hurting me and of course, others.. But I understand that those that do the hurting are miserable, but I do not want this for them.  As I suffer, I seek out joy, and I want those people to find the same.  Not for me, but for themselves.  Happiness comes and goes, it is fleeting.  Joy is derived fro love and it sustain indefinitely, infinitely. It can not be taken away, it can not be lost and it will never have to be searched for again.  But I must add that we shall always long for it.  So when I state that I search for joy daily, it is not that i and searching for the the feeling of joy as it is constant, it is for the fact that I do not take it for granted and just like any virtue and everything in life, it can become greater and better.  Searching for that one day that you are so filled with joy and love, there s no room for anything else.  When I look at doctors, when I think about marriage.  You take an oath, a vow.  You have given your word.  We must take care of each other, love each other, I promise you this; if you hold out your hand in support, the person that latches on will never let go and you will have their support for the rest of your days. And through a chain of events, as we all have heard the term 6 degrees of separation, that does truly exist.  Yes, we have used the term pay it forward.  I do like that term, but it is slightly contradicting in itself. Meaning don't wait for someone to do good for you for you to do good for someone else. From the smallest to the largest gesture of love, the person you give it to will always remember. Your life has no meaning or purpose without God, without Christ,  without the Holy Spirit and you have no discernment. And it will have none without others.  As much as we would like to fool ourselves to believing that we don't need anyone, we are degrading ourselves and others in that thought. I wonder what life would be like if you were the only person on this planet.  What it would feel like to have no one. No one to talk to. No one to listen to. No one to touch. No one to laugh with.  No one to care.  And no one to love.

As I have lived my life seeing people make excuses for their behavior, going down to my own experiences, the two questions that I come up with to ask myself and others are simply this: Why and How? If you know the answer to these questions then you have done right by your own life and others, and in my last example. If you are to win a million dollars, no one asks why or how, why did I get this, how? Why did I deserve this? But if your neighbor does how you will quickly say why and how? Why do they deserve this? Why not me? But it must start with you. For what you want for others must come from what you want for yourself.  And if you want greatness for yourself, you surely should want it for others.  If you live your life in pity, crave, want that, then obviously, you can truly not want a healthy successful life for others. So let's stand up, walk tall. Unite! Support each other! Take Care of Each Other! Do Not take for granted what your savior has said. As Jesus Christ spoke, very clearly, you ARE your brother's keeper, and there is no exception.

Story of Joshua

As stories have been posted about Joshua and several others, the story specifically about the creator of this page, Joshua Jet Vaughan, have not been in chronological order.  As we wanted to start from the beginning of his life and work up to current day, many different changes have occurred. As the time has passed throughout his life, the struggles and triumphs have been gapped and rearranged. Though we have posted some current stories, and some of his horrible sufferings, we had started to intertwine some of his joys, keeping a balance to the page. As far as the order of his life, we are just into his high school years. Though the story still may vary, as far as the order, we are going to do our best, again, to put them in order of time line, so they are not to be as sporadic.  However, there will be some going back and forth.

As Joshua had been in a coma as of recently and is just currently out of the hospital, we have been taking this time to reformulate, add additional pages via Twitter etc, and also to focus on other's stories as well. Ultimately the goal is still the same. To share the stories of others and help those in need. As we will be constantly revamping the Twitter page, Face book page, and starting the website for The Greatest Stories Ever Told, there are only 12 of us to do so.  So occasionally we will be trying to fill the void by sharing all different types of posts.  We hope to also inspire you through the people who have made it through their hardships and tragedies into success, that have made this world a better place.

But we believe that this story of our founder, Joshua, is the greatest inspiration of all. As he is still fighting and still bringing joy to this world and helping others, even while death is facing him.  As our prayers and love go out to all, we ask that you do the same for Joshua and his beautiful wife Anna. How we all look forward to the day and rejoice when his health is restored.  For he is the an that we aspire to, that we follow.  He is our leader.  We aspire to the love that his wife and he share.  And as we have recently spoken to him, he feels very blessed for the new friends that his wife Anna, and he has made simply through social media.  Proving that there are wonderful people that bring happiness, but more importantly joy into other people's lives. Joshua leads through conviction, but he also leads by following.  As it has taken many years for the GSET team to understand what this means.  The more we reveal of his life, it is not for pity's sake, Just as we hope that his story inspires others.  He has spoken often how others have inspired him.  As we have stated before, there is no man that has gone through more terror and horror in a lifetime than Joshua.  But the point is to show what we are capable of achieving while enduring these unbelievable circumstances.  And though we pray for the day that Joshua will shine that will be the day that we all shine together. So please share with your friends. And take part in this terrifying, yet beautiful endeavor as we can truly see the life and hearts of others. And of the man Joshua

As we have recently spoken with Joshua, occasionally he has his own comments. We want to make it very clear that sometimes the posts are taken down and re-editted according to his wishes Though he does not censor himself, his health issues such as his brain tumor affect his cognitive abilities. Yet this is ultimately up to him. He has shared some very intimate details which has shared of his life with his wife Anna Bella. Though he had stated, it was through much debate, both his wife and himself had realized by showing that we all make mistakes and we must learn to forgive and work through them, not giving up.  As is the truest and purest example of love.

Occasionally he shares some of the problems that he sees in the world today.  As Joshua's reason for doing so is believing that he can make a change. He often points out flaws of the system of social media, of the way people treat others and we believe in this. As he is clearly stated his flaws and is willing to accept constructive criticism at any time. As he stands in conviction with this point, we can not change anything if we are not willing to listen and if we do not listen we are incapable of learning. And we must look beyond ourselves to something that is larger than all of us. To open our eyes, our ears, but more importantly our hearts.

So many are easily offended. But those are the people who are the most offensive.  So let's join together and tell our stories.  There is no shame in admitting that we are wrong and imperfect.   When we realize this within ourselves we will finally be able to accept within ourselves and with others. And again, in the words of Joshua (No matter who we are or how old we are, there is guidance that  was needed. SO we must plant a seed and continue to tend to until it blossoms on it's own And as that continues to happen the perfect circle will be formed as of now we are capable to do for others as we have done for ourselves.  And that is love.. Obviously, the reoccurring theme of this page is love.  This will never change.  When the day comes that this is not reoccurring but just is a way of life, then this page will no longer be needed for our purpose has been reached.  But until that day comes, tread lightly for it is a long journey, but that journey; which is love, brought to fruition.

Acceptance through Humor

As the truth is always revealed in this page, we must accept that some of these posts may be humorous. For a true statement is that lighter days bring brighter days. If you are already involved in the media and we state anything about anyone, including actors, musicians, writers etc. It is no different than the evening monologue on Jimmy Fallon or Conan Obrien. As we all have flaws, we want everyone to accept each other for themselves. And as many of the posts come from Joshua, the found of this page we must all realize our limitations so that we many become limitless and the best way to do so, in many situations is through humor. So when reading anyone's posts, please think of them as family, so that their message does not get lost in translation. Because everything is shared with and for love.  (enjoy and laugh! Ultimately giving love)  Thank you and God Bless.

In the Words of Joshua~Honesty through Love

As we have currently started our Greatest Stories Ever Told Twitter page, it is amazing the number of people who have followed and unfollowed within minutes to hours. Though it is disconcerning and somewhat heart breaking, especially when some of the people are what we call in today's world, celebrities, which would allow us to share and care more that followed and unfollowed us; our mission will always stay the same.  Each person is of the same value. Some of these posts from other people, or from myself may be unsettling, but we are just getting started here. This is real life, there are real struggles, hardships, adversities and there are successes, triumphs that still lie within tragedy.  To censor our stories would be against the whole point of this page. As we will not take down anything because of anyone who is easily offended, or else the meaning of this page becomes lost. We share what's in the heart. We share real life.  And though it can be horrible and filled with ugliness, all of us must be patient for the day that we all connect in triumph together as we are united through and by the spirit. We want everyone to use the words they feel best to describe what they are going through. It is not a promotion page for careers, it is a promotion page for lives.  But with that being said, our careers are part of our lives. As I have always said 'Not everyone will like it, but eventually they will come to love it.' There are many problems in people we do not like, however, many qualities that we do love. That is the point of this page; to get past injustice. To get past censoring oneself out of fear. To get past judgment of each other.  If you stay with us, we will all support each other. We will go on the greatest journey ever together, and we will make this world a better place for each and every one of us.  If that is not what you want then this page is not for you. But if you want truth, love, and the uniting of each other's hearts, well then you have been found.

Post Script~ In addition we have been having many technical difficulties via Twitter that has been unfollowing people for us.  As this has happened to all of us on our own personal Twitter pages, please understand that the problem is being solved.  Also, some of our posts have been deleted.  We have yet to solve the problem. But they will be reposted as soon as we do.

Joshua's Joys~ A Capella Anna Bella

We just received this video from Joshua's wife Anna Bella.  She made this in honor of, and for her husband, our founder and visionary, Joshua Jet Vaughan.  This is a song she sings to him when he is having an especially tortuous day, to bring him peace and joy. That is love in the truest form.

The Story of Joshua~In the words of his Wife Anna Bella

From the moment we met, Joshua has shared everything with me.  Everything about his past, everything about the person that he is, everything that he dreams of and his goals.  I've always kept that side to myself.  I never fully put my whole heart and soul into our relationship because I was afraid of getting hurt, then I was afraid of losing him because of the type of person that I was in my youth.  Then, when he got truly sick, I became afraid of losing him to something that I had absolutely no control over.

My entire life I had to have control over everything, and so I would create personas and alter them to whomever I was speaking with, spending time with, or even imagining myself spending time with.  Family, friends, beaus.  I always shut myself off emotionally to deal with whatever feeling that I conjured up in my mind.  I became so shut down emotionally that when I met Joshua, I had no idea how to be any other way, how to turn that part of me back on again.

When I was 5, my mother had gotten remarried.  I was adopted, and had always felt unwanted my entire life.  After all, I justified to myself, I was unwanted when I was born, and what had I gained since then.  I was a smart kid.  I had figured out that there was a flaw in the design of our mini van that allowed you to unlock all of the doors from the driver's side without a key.  My mother was always asking me how I did it, but I wanted to keep it a secret.  Finally I asked her if she promised not to tell anyone else, not even dad.  She promised.  I showed her and the next day I saw him do it.  That's when I stopped trusting people.  When I was 8, I woke up one morning feeling sick.  I went into the kitchen and told my mother I didn't feel well, and couldn't go to school.  She took my temperature.  It was 98.6, spot on.  My temperature typically runs around 96 or lower.  I insisted something was wrong.  She walked me to the bus, for the first time ever, and told me to go to school and stop whining, she couldn't deal with it.  I went to school.  3 hours later I woke up in the hospital.  I had a fever of 103 and even when I was conscious my body wouldn't stop seizing.  I was soaking the bed with urine and sweat, constantly peeing myself, and my tongue and head were swollen and I couldn't breathe.  They finally had to give me a shot to knock me out so they could insert a breathing tube to get oxygen into my lungs.  I spent three weeks in the hospital.  That's when I stopped believing anyone would listen to me or care.  So when I was raped later that year, I told no one, and I never did, until Joshua.  (The contradicting part is that part of me has always known that he was not like anyone else that had ever been a part of my life, and I took that for granted every day, but also took advantage of that.  He has always loved me, and will always love me, but I didn't want to believe that my entire life I had spent living wrongly, because of an idea I got in my head on a whim.) When I was 12, I began worrying too much about what other people thought of me.  My mother had been trying to get me to wear make up and have a boyfriend since I started school, and I simply wasn't interested, but around the age of 11, I woke up one day caring what people thought, and then it became an obsession.  Puberty I suppose had a large part to play in it.  I went to her, confused and concerned that there was something wrong with me, and when I confided in her, she began crying and said to me, "Why are you doing this to me? You are going down the devil's path and straight to hell."  I never spoke to her about anything personal again, nor anyone else.

None of these things truly matter, but are simply excuses as to why I have treated my husband as badly as I have, after all of the love he has shown me.  These ideas that I had allowed to become embedded in my mind, heart, and spirit at a young age have never had anything to do with Joshua.  At the beginning, possibly justifiable as a childish act, and needing to grow up.

Great read, great pics.  Coming soon, a new show.  But the greatest of all of these is his friendship
